AQ certainly gives warnings before an attack. The "warnings" may come months/years in advance though. Bin Laden has always alluded to his warning tactica in order to justify his 'defensive' Jihad.

EVERYBODY: Does anyone have any ideas where those sites that translate arabic were posted? It's on these 9 threads somewhere. I believe 2 sites were given for translations.

I'm not too happy with the general tone of the jihadi forums this morning. They've gone squirrelly again like they did in early March.
I wish I could quantify better - it's a feeling that I am getting from their word choices. In some cases, it's like reading a riddle. There are lots of references to current news stories. But it's more than that.
Take a look at this posting and I think you'll see where I'm coming from. This one scares the heck out of me:
When the picture is overturned

What you will see...
Things will appear contrary to their nature...
Then we see what was at the top of the picture is at the bottom of the picture...
And left is right...
Then everything becomes reversed...
Then the right we becomes left...
And it is a mistake when we see it as right...
Interesting that the picture remains reversed...
And if it remains the nation sees everything
And she is overturned, unstable thereafter...
I plot not the nation's interest...
But the interest of the picture's owner.
Why do we blame the others when they look into the picture and explain that things are the reverse of their truth...
Then you show them because the situation is reversed...
If the sin is not the sin of others...
And the mistake is not their mistake...
Then the actions affect all who see the picture...
And its insistence is that it remains reversed...
Until then its hands have been beside the frame...
An astronomical proportion to the picture...
Then we cut our hands to try and free it, and make it right... (put things back in proportion)
But it we adjust the picture and turn its stand...
Then both straighten the picture...
Reversed pictures :
The jihad becames terrorism
The militants form became terrorists
The treason and collaboration become patriotism
The fools became rational
Truth turns into lies..
We are seeing these pictures them in our life
The fear is that we are accustomed to the overturned forms...
Then when the picture is adjusted and put back into its natural form...
Where we see things as they truly are...
And the others see us as we truly are...
With it the world changes
And your safety

I certainly hope that we learned a great deal of information about terror plots when those Philly mosques were raided last Saturday.
I wonder if those raids may have prompted them to try to speed up whatever attack they had planned?
good post. indeed, any pressure that can be brought to bear on these Justices is a good thing. these judges increasingly live in a world detached from most regular people. If they rule in favor of Padilla, that may well mean he would be freed - Bush should send him to Afghanistan and then tell the court to figure out how to enforce that order.

I'm not so sure. I95 through southeastern Conn is a very dangerous road - always lots of accidents, lots of trucks.
What's a dead drop? Other than being one of the most important cities in the founding of our counrty, is there anything going on in Phillie over the next few days that woulddraw an attack? The tapes really concern me given the optical sensing device that someone found buried along the rail track in Phillie a few weeks ago.
i wonder: are they referring to one of those collage pictures with OBL on it?
