Nick Berg: Michael Moore's secret cameraman?
Michael Moore, Salon.com

Posted on 05/28/2004 8:42:49 PM PDT by Objective Reality

Please pardon the vanity, but I've not seen this theory posited elsewhere in any searches I've performed.

First the admission from Michael Moore that he interviewed Nick Berg prior to his trip to Iraq. Why, in God's name, if Berg was just some foolhardy "mercenary" (as Moore calls Americans in Iraq in general)?

Then, with the slightest amount of further investigation, this post from Moore himself, on his own website. Note, very well, the date.

Quoting:

"I currently have two cameramen/reporters doing work for me in Iraq for my movie (unbeknownst to the Army). They are talking to soldiers and gathering the true sentiment about what is really going on."

Rather explains why Berg would have refused safe passage home from the military, doesn't it?

I therefore theorize that Michael Moore commissioned Nick Berg to act as his proxy / cameraman in Iraq with the stated goal of meeting and interviewing the "minutemen" of the "revolution," thereby directly leading Berg to his own murder, and making Moore himself more culpable than any member of the Bush administration in that murder.

If Moore has an interview with "pro-war-Bush-supporter" Berg, as is claimed, this should be very easy for him to deny.

Let him do so.

I've only read about the father and the Hollinger (?), the supposed partner, say that; and I wonder if Hollinger didn't get that from the father.

The Guardian, for one:

I don't see a source for that; that looks more like the Guardian repeating what the father said without attributing it to him.

I need to check on this, but I think there are only the two you mentioned. I have some pings I haven't read yet (we had some rough weather nearby last night so I left the computer off).

Don't know about humans, but we do a lot of butchering here at home and whenever you cut the neck (or the head off) of a turkey, goat, sheep, chicken they all jerk around. Sometimes it is not at first - like going into shock kind of thing - but after a few seconds they spasm and it is an autonomic response. The body just responds to it that way on it's own. That said, I believe that Berg was dead when they cut his head off AND it doesn't make one whit of a difference whether or not he was dead. Doesn't make it less horrific nor does it make it President Bush's fault - only the subhuman evil-doers.

Goebbels would be proud of Michael Moore.

I have heard it stated that the left are the new Nazis, and Michael Moore is setting out to prove it.

I'd be more likely to call the Islamofascists neo-Nazis. They believe in racial superiority (or at least the inferiority of non-arab muslims and of Jews).

They also have committed horrible attrocities (some state mandated).

The left is more akin to communist dictators who also use propaganda to brainwash the masses.

Some of the "new left" are anarchist-socialists. These black shirts riot at "peace" rallies and support the killing of US troops. Not a whole lot of difference between the tactics of brown shirts and black shirts (maybe it is more "who you are working for"). Some agitators think that they move of their own accord but actually they are under the thumb of a larger organization. With the "anti(American)War" rallies (which conveniently were pro-Palestinian war), they were organized by global communists. Not everyone who attened those rallies was a communist, some were merely red dupes and useful idiots for the cause of socialism.

I am with you 100%! We sure dodged a bullet last night but we could have used the rain! :)

Have to question why Berg would have hung around Norman in the spring of 2000 and not enrolled in OU if he was such a hotshot engineer that these profs all of a sudden remembered.

Wonder who hired him for the Republican Convention? Guess he needed the money?

There are so many unanswered questions but I will never believe he was a Bush supporter!

Am beginning to wonder about the double agent deal myself. He signed up for our side but was with them before that.

"Wonder who hired him for the Republican Convention? Guess he needed the money?"

Given what we know now, I really wonder if his purpose was to gather information for the 'Rats. Even if he didn't "bug" the place (which I suppose he might have), just hanging around fooling with widgets or whatever, I'm sure he could pick up tidbits to turn over to the 'Rats.

I'm guessing that Moore put Berg up to it. Berg probably thought he was going to get some good info on those fun-loving guys from al Qaeda for Moore's movie.

I had read that the cameraman had screwed up and missed the original act of killing.

Where did you read that? aztlan.net? abovetopsecret? Don't be an idiot.

Let's get this straight: Nick Berg really was murdered on tape, without question. If you don't beleive me, watch it yourself frame by frame in Windows Moviemaker and tell me why his blood is pulsing out of his right carotid artery? (BTW, if you think that isn't enough blood for you, let me remind you that Kill Bill is a movie.)

Pass it on.
