The point was made that [in] Washington, the media is in panic mode and at least this may help the Republicans..When Woodward called the prison scandal as the defining story about the war..I was appalled, but I must face that is what they think in the media.

Remember when the press said that Enron would be the defining story of the Bush presidency? They will keep the prison story alive as long as they think they can get traction on it, and then, after it has faded, the Rats on some TV news show will drag it out and throw it up again when they get cornered and can't think of anything relevant in response to a question about Iraq.

They have so many naysayers fueling this..Lugar, Hagel, McCain,the dems...et al, Zinni is disgraceful in his accusations.

The aim to enable Iraqis to be frontline in their own security is the key..with us as backup. Have we made some mistakes? yes..Are they the whole story and will they prevent success? No.
