Morris disappointed W didn't go for the female ear by equating additional Iraqi oil production with lower gas prices.

A better example might be to say that our effort in Iraq is intended to prevent our children traveling on commercial aircraft from being smashed to fingernail-sized pieces and incinerated by terrorists crashing the aircraft into skyscrapers, or poisoned to death by radiological materials, or blasted to pieces in shopping malls by the subhuman terrorist suicide bombers who are on the way.

That is my all time favorite. It gets my vote for the funniest thing ever posted on FR.

Morris got Clinton elected twice.

IMO, GWI and the Republican establishment got Clinton elected once, and Bob Dole and the Republican establishment got Clinton elected the second time.

Are you sure? Peggy Noonan and Bill Kristol haven't weighed in yet. ;-)

Professional second-guessers.

I know I'm late to this thread and I had to listen to the speech on the radio. I haven't heard the major media spin, but I could imagine. Here's my take. President Bush could have announced 25 cents per gallon gas permenantly beginning 5/25/04. 10,000,000 Muslims could be seen marching from Tehran to Baghdad holding signs reading Jesus is our Savior, waving the heads of Arafat and Osama on poles. Gay marriage is legal throughout the country along with full-term abortion he could say. Add free healthcare for all, a minimun wage of $22.50 per hour and guess what? It wouldn't garner him one vote from the liberals. That is why we need every conservative voter to back this president. Yes, I have differences with his policies, but just because your car gets a flat tire wouldn't be reason to have it scrapped.

If you're going, pick me up at the 101 E on ramp on White Oak Blvd. in Encino.

I'll bring the beer.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy he spoke tonight. We supporters need to keep our spirits up. The campaign workers and fundraisers need a boost. The big donors need to feel they're backing a winner. Iraqis need assurances that our promises made are promises kept. The Democrats need to know that we're going to prevail in Iraq, and that their days of political power will fade further from grasp.

It was a WAR College. The setting GW wanted -- to remind the sheeple that we are at WAR, something the media choses to ignore.
