So how do you or your dad know what John Kerry did or did not witness? Seems like it's very hard to prove something Kerry saw was a lie unless you have concrete evidence that he couldn't have seen those things. Nobody in the public eye has disproven Kerry either, and it doesn't appear that they're even trying. Where's Ken Starr when you need him? =)

Anyway, he talked about the whole "war criminals" thing already on Meet The Press. He stands by what he said, and says that there were Geneva Conventions that were broken, but just wishes he had phrased things more artfully.

Again, why does that matter in 2004? Bush is misleading us now about the war in Iraq, but you don't seem nearly as concerned with that as you are with things that happened the early '70s.

You'll have to define "the right thing" for me. If you mean the right thing for Halliburton, sure. If you mean the right thing for America, no way -- we've made ourselves much more vulnerable to terrorism in any number of ways at the cost of billions of dollars.

If you mean the right thing for the Iraqi people, the jury's still out on that one. We've removed a murderous dictator from power over them, but it looks like innocent people are still being tortured just like they were before. And who knows what kind of government Iraq will have five years from now (much less five months from now)? It's not that unlikely that it could be even worse then the dictatorship that came before it. As my magic 8-ball says, "Outlook not so good."

In his various partial recantations of his testimony, Hanoi John has admitted that he "misspoke" and that he had only heard rumors of stuff he testified that he'd witnessed. Have you really not been exposed to this story?! Wow...it's a KILLER ISSUE in the military voting sector!!
