All of Right's dreams shall come true!!
All the world will be Right...
When Dubyuh loathes Big Guv'ment, too!!

Wow! Thanks for that analysis!

I especially agree with point #17. Ohio is socially conservative, and will NEVER vote for Kerry.

btw, Mud.........I agree that the President is more conservative than he is governing. Just like Reagan.

Reality in the presidency means compromise. We might not agree with the compromises either of them made, but we know that they're both completely honorable men who compromise(d) only because it's necessary for what they consider(ed) the greater good.

"...men who compromise(d) only because it's necessary for what they consider(ed) the greater good."

That's what I'd like to change more than anything else, this incorrect notion that the only way to fix local problems is through Federal expenditures. The facts simply do not bear this out. We can easily devolve Federal spending and authority and responsibility from the Federal Leviathan and back to States, Localities, Neighborhoods, families, and Individuals!! It would be politically popular and great fer long-term economic growth...a home run all the way around!!

Howdy, Ms. Diva...do you have this one in yer repetoire?!

"Tales Of Brave Ulysses"
by Cream (Eric Clapton and Martin Sharp)

You thought the leaden winter would bring you down forever,
But you rode upon a steamer to the violence of the sun.

And the colours of the sea bind your eyes with trembling mermaids,
And you touch the distant beaches with tales of brave Ulysses,
How his naked ears were tortured by the sirens sweetly singing,
For the sparkling waves are calling you to kiss their white laced lips.

And you see a girl's brown body dancing through the turquoise,
And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea.
And when your fingers find her, she drowns you in her body,
Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind.

The tiny purple fishes run laughing through your fingers,
And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter.

Her name is Aphrodite and she rides a crimson shell,
And you know you cannot leave her for you touched the distant sands
With tales of brave Ulysses, how his naked ears were tortured
By the sirens sweetly singing.

The tiny purple fishes run lauging through your fingers,
And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter.

"Terror's Next Target!!"

"Without question, the most fundamental way to improve energy security would be through gradually reducing world demand for oil by shifting to next-generation transportation fuels. While the major energy consuming countries lack oil, most are rich in other energy resources. Coal - held in abundance by the U.S., China, and India, among others - can be used to cleanly and cheaply produce methanol (a hydrogen rich fuel used by the Indy 500 and other race tracks because it is less flammable than gasoline.) Energy rich agricultural waste can be used to produce ethanol, municipal waste can be used to produce Department of Energy approved synthetic fuel. Electricity produced from nuclear, wind, solar, hydropower and clean coal technologies can move vehicles with similar performance and less pollution. Such a transition is no pipedream. Millions of flexible fuel vehicles on the road today can run on the first three fuels mentioned. Rechargeable electric vehicles with auxiliary fuel tanks (to overcome the range limit issues of pure electric vehicles) are already in the making. Infrastructure issues can be circumvented and hurdles to getting fuel cell vehicles on the road diminished by focusing on practical solutions as opposed to ideal ones and delivering cheap to produce hydrogen rich liquid fuels such as methanol and ethanol to fueling stations rather than tangling with pure hydrogen. Such a shift will not only increase energy independence for America and the free world but will also minimize the need to transport oil across the globe and thus reduce our vulnerability to an energy Pearl Harbor."

Very interesting article...thanks fer the ping...MUD

"PLEASE REMEMBER ME"

Remember me, America, for I was once your son,

I fought and died at Valley Forge with General Washington;

I was there at Gettysburg on that tragic, tragic day.

When brother fought against brother - the blue against the grey.

I rode with Teddy Roosevelt on the charge up San Juan Hill.

Some came back to fight again - but I just lie there still.

I went to France with A.E.F. to bring the peace to you;

I was twenty-one and full of fun - I never saw twenty-two.

I am still here at Pearl Harbor since that December seventh day of infamy.

Lying silently with my shipmates on the U.S.S. Arizona at the bottom of the sea.

D-Day June 6th 1944, we hit the beaches of Normandy

And we fought uphill every inch of the way.

We routed the Germans and hurled them back,

But what a terrible price we had to pay.

I served on an U.S. submarine, the bravest of the brave,

Until a German depth charge gave us a watery grave.

I bombed the Ploesti oil fields; they blew with one big roar,

But in the attack we were hit with flack - I ll never bomb anymore.

In Korea I heard the C.O. shout We ll make it - I am sure we will.

I lost my life to try and take a spot called Pork Chop Hill.

Vietnam! Vietnam! When will we ever learn?

I am one of sixty thousand that never will return.

I left my town, my wife, my kids, my home, so cozy and warm;

I was killed in a scud attack in a war called Desert Storm!

And so in my eternity my thoughts are all for thee,

I ll never forget my America....
I pray she remembers me.

Whazzup, Lefty?! Welcome to the Black threads...I hope your stay will be illuminating fer folks on both sides of the political/ideological spectrum.

As fer why I'm not voting fer Dubyuh, it's his lack of fiscal conservatism in dealing with hopelessly-bloated domestic spending budgets.

As fer why Kerry should NEVER be allowed to become the Commander-in-Chief...well, where to begin?! First off, I think Hanoi John's a bit of a wussie, seeing how he totally-fabricated three Purple Hearts and skipped out on his duty in Viet Nam four months into a one-year stand. Then, he came back stateside and LIED to Congress about War Crimes he never witnessed or tried to stop...he LIED about his Brothers-in-Arms, and all the military folks I know literally DESPISE Hanoi John Kerry!! He's an insult to the honor that makes the American Military so special!!

As fer why I'm not voting fer Dubyuh, it's his lack of fiscal conservatism in dealing with hopelessly-bloated domestic spending budgets. Well, he did take the largest federal surplus in history, and turned it into the largest federal deficit in history. Doesn't sound very conservative to me. First off, I think Hanoi John's a bit of a wussie, seeing how he totally-fabricated three Purple Hearts and skipped out on his duty in Viet Nam four months into a one-year stand. So forget all of that boring domestic and foreign policy stuff -- I shouldn't vote for someone who you think is "a bit of a wussie." All righty then. Well, Kerry's about as far away from being a wussie as you can get IMO. He went to Vietnam and fought for our country. Forget the fact that he explained pretty clearly the whole ribbons vs. medals thing, and forget the fact that he earned the medals, and has the right to do with them what he wishes...where was Bush during Vietnam? While Kerry was serving on a gunboat in the Mekong Delta, Bush was...well, we don't know what Bush was doing because the campaign still hasn't released all of his records. We know he did bravely volunteer for a trip to the dentist for his country back in 1972. Anyway, if you're going to base all your perceptions of someone based on what they did over 30 years ago, you need to vote for Richard Nixon. =) If you think Kerry lied about something, show me some evidence. But I have a sneaking suspicion you don't have any. You just have a right-wing bias and Faux News to bolster your theories.

"If you think Kerry lied about something, show me some evidence. But I have a sneaking suspicion you don't have any."

In his Congressional testimony in the early 70's Hanoi John Kerry swore an oath to tell the truth, then LIED about atrocities that he never witnessed. He was a de facto TOOL of the Commie North VietNam in the Left's domestic war to undermine our effort to liberate the South Vietnamese. He called his Brothers-In-Arms baby-killers and sadistic torturers, and indicated this was standard M.O. fer our military over there. His entire testimony was ONE BIG LIE...and arguably seditious!!

My dad was in the Navy fer over 30 years and he absolutely LOATHES Hanoi John Kerry...MUD
