My guess, given the limited symptoms, was that it was binary. Some mixing occurred and a small amount of sarin was released, but a shell with 3-4 liters of straight sarin would likely have killed anyone exposed to it.

I figure only the primer went off and just ruptured the seal between the two chem's, so only a very small amount mixed together. Either that or they were very quickly treated and most of the sarin soaked into the ground.

I saw the same thing. After not seeing a headline at all about the sarin find, not even on their middle east page that has articles listed by date, I did a site search for "sarin" and the only mention was as you said - deep in an article about something completely different. Unbelievable.

LOL That's one of the dumbest things you've ever said. Phosgene and mustard gas are technologies from WWI, the implication of your statement is that they are not harmful either.

Let me guess...you also think we got what we deserved on 9/11?

It's doesn't matter if it's CIVIL WAR technology it's still a dangerous chemical that had it gone off properly would have killed several THOUSAND people.

Maybe you' ve been reading too many pamphlets from the DNC lately.

I think I see your problem (I mean other than the fact that you are a bigger snob than most liberals I've ever come across)...

You are either purposefully, or from sheer ignorance, leaving out the terrorism part of the equation to remove Hussein from power. The weapons themselves were not the major threat. It was the lengths Hussein was willing to go to in order to attack his enemies. It was who he was willing to harbor and train in the use of these chemicals / agents in order to inflict death and terror on the people he considered his enemies.

Are you one of those people who refuse to acknowledge that Hussein's removal from power is part of the war on terror?

Actually that's false it's WWII tech. Hmmmmm wonder when the gun was created I mean that technology is way out of date, couldn't possibly be an effective weapon, don't you think?

I believe a handful of soccermoms and boys who like tanks and guns supported a policy of invading Iraq underwritten by the Chinese Communist government.

In order to scare people into supporting the war, stories from the Chalabi led INC supplanted official intelligence estimates and were fed into the news stream. The stories proved to be lies and the people who promoted Chalabi's lies are guilty of extreme-anti-patriotism or 'treason.' That you were duped, there is no question, that you don't aid your country in her time of need is for you to deal with.

No Mssr. Marx, the point is that sarin is not a weapon of mass destruction.

Which 'Chalabi-fed' stories proved to be lies? I also hope you can establish they were 'Chalabi-fed.'

Deserved 9/11?

LOL, no more than I think 'they hate us for our freedom.'

9/11 occurred because we hired a bunch of government paper shufflers who disarmed the public and completely failed to protect the nation. As we wait for the first paper shuffler to be fired for gross incompetence, you folks keep selling more debt to the Chinese Communists.

The Chinese think your little war in Iraq is quite quaint BTW.

No, I don't think tanks and machine guns are weapons mass destructions, indeed I think people should be allowed to own whatever the standing army owns.

That said, I bet the ATF would love to classify all guns as WMDs...and I bet you could be duped into supporting that notion, Leftie.

Whoa! Underwritten by the Chinese Communist Government? And you say I've been duped?

I know people who are terrorists experts. Personally know them. They have told me that removing Hussein from power was not only part of the war on terror, it was a critical part of it. They have no reason to lie to me.

You have been duped. From your first comment about China, I think you may have read one too many conspiracy theory sites.

As a member of the Armed Forces of the United States I am personally and professionally insulted that you have such a callous disregard for the military that protects you and protects your constitutional right to say such moronic things.

What we are doing in Iraq IS A GOOD THING!!! I have been there. I have seen how those people lived under Saddam Hussein.

I have seen the proof of the links Saddam had to terorism and the proliferation of WMD that were two of the reasons we ousted Saddam and the Ba'ath Socialist party a year ago.

You sit behind a keyboard and anonymously snipe and degrade our efforts over there. I had the BRASS ONES to pickup a rifle and go over there and make a difference.

I am insulted that you would challenge not only my patriotism but that of the soldiers who've died over there and the ones who are currently serving and putting their butts on the line every day so that the people of iraq can enjoy the same freedoms we enjoy in this country.

I've been monitoring the lack of this story on CNN for hours now. I don't expect to see it, there can be no debate now as to their motives.

"the point is that sarin is not a weapon of mass destruction."

I'm sorry Mr. Blix...i didn't realize that you'd joined our discussion.

Anything that can kill people in the THOUSANDS is a weapon of mass destruction.

But then since you are happy living within your ignorance of such things there no way you could honestly know that now is there?

The point is false. Sarin is a nerve gas.

If you care so little about your countrymen to know of Chalabi's lies, what I can I possibly tell you that will make you Hard on Treason, when clearly you are the sort of useful idiot the Soviets counted on?
