Heavy metal and death metal bands have done several covers of the Skyhooks' "Horror Movie". It's all about the lyrics for EOM/Gadahn, not the band. I never said he was a Skyhooks fan.

I just got through watching the local news and no mention whatsoever of the alert. Will keep watching and reading for updates and let you know whatever I find out.

460W will eventually cross I-81. Some sites and cities along 460W are the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA; Roanoke, VA; Virginia Tech; Lynchburg, VA (where Mt. Athos is located on the outskirts of the city) and Liberty University (Jerry Falwell's university).

Sorry it took me so long to get back. After the news I had to take my husband to work. I did notice quite a strong State Police presence on the way to his work but then I remembered it is Memorial Day Weekend so that is probably the reason why.

I'm thinking you're right. The more info I look for the less I find. I kinda think he's just a fantasizing wacko.

Their ignorance is showing. How silly to designate a two mile stretch like that. They had better wake up and do their homework, and get the big picture before it is too late. Mentality like that was probably a contributing factor in why the WTC attacks were not averted.

As others have said, he could be Tunisian or Algerian, but he may be Moroccan also. They speak French all over the place in N. Africa.

I hope you'll get this info to people who will listen, don't stop till someone expresses an interest in checking this out.

Malls are a target!

Good for you to spot this!

It boggles my mind that he would reject his own blood, that he has such self hatred. The disconnect from the father I can understand. He must have *disconnected* before understanding his heritage.

That is too funny! I'm glad if jihadi-apologists are offended by it.

I'm offended by them.

Why on earth don't they let you carry while on this volunteer shift? This would seem like the very occasion when YOU shuld be packing heat!

That was my thought too. The police chief pointed out that the city maintains an insurance policy to cover the sworn officers in case they have to use their firearms on duty. Volunteers are not covered and the city would be liable to suit if we used a firearm inappropriately while volunteering. I did bring my S&W 686+ before my first shift. The chief politely asked me to store it in my private vehice before going out.

Our town only has 9700 people. A relatively small tax base. It is well managed, but we can't afford an expensive legal entanglement.

Saudi Man Held on Immigration Charges

Saudi With Alleged Ties to 2 Sept. 11 Hijackers Is Arrested in San Diego on Immigration Charges

The Associated Press

SAN DIEGO May 28, 2004 — A Saudi believed to have indirect ties to two of the Sept. 11 hijackers was arrested on immigration charges and could face deportation, authorities said.

Hasan Saddiq Faseh Alddin, 34, was a roommate of a close friend of Saudi hijackers Nawaf Alhazmi and Khalid al-Midhar in the 1990s, the Department of Homeland Security said in a news release. The two hijackers died aboard the American Airlines jet that crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.

Terror Threat Boosts U.S. Airport Security

WASHINGTON (AP) - The federal official in charge of the nation's airports said Friday security has been "stepped up a notch" in the face of renewed terror warnings this holiday weekend and said authorities are asking the public to be vigilant.

"If they see anything unusual, report it - an unattended package, something that just doesn't look right, even odd behavior in the terminal or on the aircraft," FAA Administrator Marion Blakey said on NBC's "Today" show.

She said photographs of seven suspected terrorists released Wednesday by the FBI "are everywhere" and that screeners have been redeployed to some of the busiest airports in anticipation of heavy Memorial Day holiday travel.

"Certainly we are going to be on red alert looking for those individuals," Blakey said on ABC's "Good Morning America."

With 200 million people expected to fly over the summer months, she cited a number of things travelers can do to make their trips easier and quicker.

"One of the first things I go to is my PDA, or telephone, because now we have a brand new service, www.faa.gov/wireless ,and you can go on and actually pick up what the story is at your airport before you go," she said on NBC. "Are you running into any ground delays? Is there weather to be aware of? In fact, you can go to your specific airline and see what's the story on the flight. It lets you schedule, you're more in control and it really does give you a way of understanding the situation rather than just getting there and saying, 'What's going on.'"

The same information is available on the regular FAA Internet site for people not using a wireless device such as a personal digital assistant or cell phone.

There is something else in the immediate vicinity of "Nork" Airport, the Turnpike, or the ports; Chemical Refineries and Oil Refineries, within a few miles of Manhattan and will deliver those chemicals WITHOUT NEED OF AN ACTUAL CHEMICAL BOMB.

"The FBI has identified the stretch between Port Newark and Newark Liberty International Airport as the most dangerous two miles in the United States when it comes to terrorism, New Jersey's chief federal law-enforcement official said yesterday."

Just think of the insurance costs now for those folks within 10 miles of the 2 mile border! Can't you see all fine printed addenums in the mail..."this policy voided when vehicle is driven between Port Newark and Newark"... International Airport.

Wrong: It usually signals a room rental by two people who want to be alone and intimate either because they don't want their spouses to know or they lack the kind of privacy they would like at their place of abode. Either way, its none of the LEOs business.

Your libertarian opinion conflicts with the successful arrest and conviction of drug manufacturers, dealers and users in my small town. The adulterers and fornicators won't be arrested or convicted. We run the plates looking for previous involvements before any further investigation. If the hotel management calls, we have sufficient cause to knock on the door. The drug parties tend to be loud with multiple unregistered guests in the room. The stench from the meth cookers is easily discernible outside the door. Instant probable cause.

Someone posted this very interesting information about Siddiqui, the leader of the mosque that Adam G. attended in Orange Co. Siddiqui is the seemingly mild-mannered man who has been on the news making comments about A.G. Interestingly, this post makes him out to be anything but mild-mannered...

Adam Gadahn - One of FBI's 7 Most Wanted - Islamic Society of Orange Co. Muzammil Siddiqi

Siddiqi has made a number of most disturbing statements. "During an anti-Israel rally outside the White House on Oct. 28, 2000, Siddiqi openly threatened the United States with violence if it continued its support of Israel. "America has to learn ... if you remain on the side of injustice, the wrath of God will come. Please, all Americans. Do you remember that? ... If you continue doing injustice, and tolerate injustice, the wrath of God will come." By "injustice," he meant U.S. support for Israel.

Siddiqi also has called for a wider application of sharia law in the United States, and in a 1995 speech praised suicide bombers. "Those who die on the part of justice are alive, and their place is with the Lord, and they receive the highest position, because this is the highest honor," he was quoted as saying by the Kansas City Star on Jan. 28, 1995.
