Several people with "evil intentions" were arrested in South Africa five days before the elections last month, leading to the arrests of al-Qaeda suspects internationally, a daily Johannesburg newspaper reported.
Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi told the National Assembly's safety and security committee on Wednesday: "We arrested some people who had evil intentions against this country - we did not tell anybody - five days before the election. We got these people to leave."
The South African operation sparked arrests of suspects linked to al-Qaeda in Jordan, Syria and Britain, Selebi said.
"The result is that you saw in Jordan, in and around those days, a number of people arrested who were called al-Qaeda. A number of people were arrested in Syria as a result of our operation.
"In part of this operation, in London, the British police found boxes and boxes of South African passports in the home of one of these people... ," Selebi said.
Selebi made these remarks to the committee as an example of the battle faced by government in stamping out corruption in the Department of Home Affairs, the newspaper reported.

--Adnan El Shukrijumah. A Saudi native who lived in South Florida, Shukrijumah is believed to have helped mastermind the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Federal officials have a special interest in him because of his familiarity with the United States and his ability to speak English. I HAVE BEEN POSTING THIS GUYS PICTURE FOR MONTHS. His father is a muslim cleric, he is a friend of Jose Padilla and is suspected of having stolen radioactive material in Canada after posing as a student.

Also, I find it odd that Ashcroft is recycling all of these terrorists. All of their pictures have been on the FBI site for months. Don't they know about any others? Isn't there supposed to be 18,000? Where are their pictures?

Citronella is very good against mosquitoes. I would dilute it when applying to the skin, with something like olive or almond oil. Or even water. Use drops on clothes. It can be mixed with pennyroyal but be careful with pennyroyal as it is rather toxic so it shouldn't be applied to the skin unless very diluted. These oils are strong, but when used in dilution, are effective (in my experience) but really need to be applied thoroughly.
