Boycott Brad Pitt In the movie "Troy"!
May 14, 2004 | John Arcari (JLAGray Fox)

Please boycott the movie "Troy: that releases today. Brad Pitt, a rabid Bush hater and support of "Traitor" Democrat John Kerry needs to take a beating in this movie. If the movie does not do well at the box office Pitt is toast as an actor!

i've heard it was a stinker. kinda disappointed because i had also heard that Josh Grobin did some music for the movie (i got one of his CDs for Mother's Day :).

seems i saw a teaser for some celeb show saying that Brad Pitt was retiring... that he and the Mrs were ready for a change. i haven't swooned for Brad since Legends of the Fall (correct name??)...a Bon Jovi hair thing i think. lol probably won't have a problem boycotting.

The movie is bound to suck anyway. We are ate-up with special effects and pretty-boys but don't expect good acting or an interesting plot.

I heard it's a very poor rendition of the Iliad by Homer,
and cost $250 million to make. No way I'll pay to see it.

No can do - I plan on seeing the movie this weekend - maybe even again (if the movie is any good). The Illiad just happens to be my favorite story.

The film is getting ripped by reviewers. Read ten reviews yesterday on this film. It is rated only 2 1/2 stars on average. Pitt's performance is lackluster apparently. He is getting raves only for his "big muscles" and the four hour a day workouts he performed to bulk up. It is considered a "Hollywood epic" only for the vast scenes of combating armies. The Trojan Horse got a few praises for its realistic modeling out of fibreglass. I will not pay to view this film but may catch a glimpse of it by walking into the theater will paying for another movie.

Neither Brad Pitt nor Tom Cruise is my idea of a good-looking man. Brad Pitt's pouty expression is more appropriate for a stubborn six year old. Tom Cruise's physique resembles Don Knox. I guess the no shoulder, pencil neck look is sexy to a thirteen year old girl. I prefer manly men such as Mel Gibson and Sean Connery.

Pretty-boy weenie Brad Pitt as Achilles is a joke anyway. Achilles was a massive, powerful killing-machine, not a skinny nancy-boy. Putting Brad Pitt in that role was a mis-cast of epic proportions.

This movie was made for the GAY audience who adore Putz er Pitt......That's why he said men would be wearing skirts after seeing this movie..........GAY MEN.........

That's EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the previews for this. Considering it's a Hollyweird production, I get the impression that there will be a buggery component to the plot somewhere. They can't help themselves.

Sample film review from the U.K. calls the film "graceless" and pans Brad Pitt misconceived performance: Telegraph.co.uk.

I have no intention of seeing Troy, but....... I am not a fan of "boycott (fill in the blank) because they are liberals!" I will go to movies that I expect will entertain me, and I won't care about the politics of who made it. And I shop at Costco. So there.

Exactly. What is next? Should we boycott the "Passion" because Gibson was critical of Dubya on the war or boycott the fine film, "Luther" because Peter Ustinov (who had some slimy leftist views) was in it?

As to Troy, I have no interest in seeing it but Pitt's political views is not on my list of reasons......Now...Michael Moore, that's a different matter!

"its looked stupid then, and it looks like a made for tv movie now!"

LOL! I couldn't get over the previews showing absurdly gigantic armies. Those Holywood CGI fools always seem to overdo it!
