Boycott Brad Pitt In the movie "Troy"!
May 14, 2004 | John Arcari (JLAGray Fox)

Posted on 05/14/2004 5:55:00 AM PDT by JLAGRAYFOX

Please boycott the movie "Troy: that releases today. Brad Pitt, a rabid Bush hater and support of "Traitor" Democrat John Kerry needs to take a beating in this movie. If the movie does not do well at the box office Pitt is toast as an actor!

As other posters have indicated you're rumor is incorrect. Also Jackman is being considered for James Bond when Brosnan leaves.

I'm going to see "Troy" and will probably rather enjoy it. :-)

I exceedingly have a problem with male actors kissing male actors, or female actors kissing female actors.

I suggest you skip all mafia flicks.

Has anyone else actually seen the movie?

What is next? Should we boycott the "Passion" because Gibson was critical of Dubya on the war or boycott the fine film, "Luther" because Peter Ustinov (who had some slimy leftist views) was in it?

Excellent points. I imagine some would actually answer "yes"!

Dangit, I was hoping they'd consider Jude Law.

I could settle for Jackman tho'. :-)

There's numerous references to the gods, what happens after death, temple shots and the like.

In the original Illiad, the gods are active participants. They are characters who establish both the story and numerous intertwined back stories. Illiad without the gods is like A Midsummer's Night's Dream with no "imaginary" characters.

I heard a rumor that Jackman is gay.

I read a hilarious quote from Jackman today -- somthing on the order of "you know you've made it in Hollywood when there are rumors of you being gay."

The guy seems to have his head on straight. I'm willing to bet the rest of him is, too.

The decision hasn't been made, or at least announced. The latest gossip read was the upcoming one is Brosnan's last. Then I read he was considering doing Casino Royale with another production company. I guess MGM and the Brocollis don't own Casino Royale.

Thanx for the info. The only real reference close to what you mention is Apollo. But the gods are referred to throughout, but not as actors in the story.

Doing (from an acting standpoint) Peter Allen would get one a reputation. From what I've read he'll win the Tony award. I've seen video clips from the play and he's got it down.

I see in Van Helsing he's quite capable of buckling a swash and being a ladies man.

Caught him on talk shows and I could see him as bond. I think Jude Law while a pretty boy could also revive Bond as more cold blooded. He's done that role in a couple of flicks.

Meanwhile, I enjoyed Troy and didn't fall in love with any of the men.

. . . "big muscles" and the four hour a day workouts he performed to bulk up.

From the look of him, he also had a little artificial help from steroids, "gorilla pi**," as we once called it in the gym.

One movie critic panned Pitt like this: "He appeared to be putting himself on display rather than becoming the part. It was a dreadful performance"

Jarmusch says not to blame the mirror for what it reflects. Newsweak actually asked him about this.
