Kerry refuses further comment says "that's private" ... Zuckman asks "why did you mention it on television?" ... Kerry: "I'm not going to say anything about when, where or how." ... DEVELOPING

Kerry won't say when he met Berg's father? Could it be that he met with him BEFORE the video was released....

All right, let's play the lefties' game and come up with a conspiracy theory, except what I'm about to propose at least has some valid points to make it seem credible.

Kerry has admitted to committing war crimes in Vietnam, so it can be said that he has a history of violence, mayhem, and criminal activity. He has something to gain by having the parent of a murdered American speak out against President Bush. Michael Berg is a known member or supporter of International A.N.S.W.E.R., so could logically be assumed to be either supportive of Kerry's campaign or hostile to Bush's. Kerry said he spoke with Berg, but wouldn't say when or regarding what. These are all facts or logical assumptions.

Therefore, I'm proposing a theory that Kerry conspired (possibly with Michael Berg) to have Nick Berg murdered. I know its in bad taste, but it is more logical than anything the left comes up with.

Berg is also a Scandinavian name, but he probably didn't know that most Iraqis don't know what a Jew looks like except that they (the males, that is) are circumcized like they are. I read that he might be on the ATJ website, but then I read that he wasn't. I think it unlikely that Nick was in inteligence (or even very inteligent) for not knowing how dangerous it is to have an "Israel" stamp in your passport even if you're blond and blue eyed.

But the stories from the family and neighbors do not pass the smell test--I can't say why though, yet.

Agreed. There seem to be many questions as to why this poor man was still in Iraq, and what exactly he was doing there. I just remeber those Japanese 'hostages' who had contacts with the wrong folks. Though that was staged I suspect, I think Mr. Berg may have befriended the wrong people, and was tricked by them, and found himself face to face with some very evil people. Much like Mr. Pearl was.
