I violated the Geneva Conventions in 1953 by taking photos of Chinese POW's on Koje-do, in Korea. They were in line, awaiting interrogation, in the Quonset hut adjacent to mine.

Is that a violation? That's the same as the video released of the medical once-over (checking the teeth, hair, etc) that Saddam received. He wasn't being humilated, it was mainly for documentation purposes.

Today has established firmly that the photos we have seen were taken against the rules, and the conduct in them was done on the volition of this band of rogues. It had nothing to do with authorized treatment of these prisoners in order to "soften them up".

If I had the stomach for it, I'd watch Dan, Tom, or Petah tonight to see if this crosses their lips.
