Ummmmmmmm..........don't you think there's a WEE bit more connection between the CinC and members of the military in a war (however aberrant they are), and a random kidnap/murder??

Your complete lack of logic and rational thought is stunning.

Like I said on the other thread on this subject!!!

It would not matter what President Bush does or does not do, he will NEVER make the media, the left, the right happy.

He did what he felt lead to say as the leader of this war. We do not do such acts to people, even if the do this and more to others, we as americans do not justify such acts.

God Bless President Bush today and each day. There is so many monday q-backs in todays world that everyone thinks they would have done things differently. RUSH, included. He is just wrong on his anger imho on this one, and I have always adored Rush. But I admire George W more and each thing he does makes me know He is a great leader!

"I told him I was sorry for the humiliation suffered by the Iraqi prisoners and the humiliations suffered by their families. I told him I was equally sorry that people who've seen those pictures didn't understand the true nature and heart of America," Bush said.

He said he told Abdullah the "wrongdoers would be brought to justice" and assured the king that "the actions of those in Iraq do not represent the values" of the U.S.

"I also made clear to his majesty that the troops we have in Iraq who are there for security and peace and freedom are the finest of the fine, fantastic United States citizens who represent the very best qualities of America: courage, love of freedom, compassion and decency," Bush added.

Politically, if you are not on offense, you are on defense.

I realize what you are saying .. But President Bush isn't going to play political games with our troops lives

They dems will .. but the President won't

They have a war to fight

And next week something will happen to decide the election finally and totally, and then something else the week after that, and next month three or four things will happen and it will be "all over," and in July will be the Democrat convention and maybe his polls won't go up instantly and people will be saying "Kerry is toast," and then something will happen in August like some bad polls for the Republicans and it will be "all over for Bush," then the debates will happen and someone will flub something and it will be time to "stick a fork in him," and then another debate will happen and someone will lose and it will be "game over," and all through this there will be incidents in Iraq that will make some here say "It's all over," and then, well, then there will be the actual election. THEN it will be all over.

Funny how some folks think that everything stops every time some incident happens they don't like.

I know I have asked you before, and I know you have told me, but once again, what does "so jumped the shark" mean?

“Jumped the shark” essentially means that something is in decline or passé. The origin is a reference to the show “Happy Days” when Fonzie literally jumped the shark with his motorcycle. That was the series’ turning point showing that the writers had run out of fresh ideas. It was all downhill from there!

Notice the /sarcasm tag on it.

I've been called these same things by howlin over the last night into today for saying this can really wreck the admin.

howlin apparently is 'above the law' here and gets away with it though.

No seriously, cool it.

I am by no means the only one who disagrees with this. Why are you making this personal? Find a new target, you should have a lot of suspects.

Many on this thread question the wisdom of this and you choose to go after me.

I was simply warning that person of your tactics, not in a way that should offend you, I was trying to give him the heads up on what you were likely to do.

I was trying to be a peacemaker or a conflict preventer, if you must know!

I heard him say he was sick of it, but then he proceeded to talk about it for two hours.

He's in control of the situation. If he really didn't want to expound on the subject, all he had to do was stop talking about it.

He lost it today. It was a total waste of time to listen to him.

Evidently there's some sort of contest going on between faithincowboys and Monty22 to see how many threads they can drag their gloom and doom too!
