What brought the meeting to an end? Did the president say he had to go? No, says McClellan. The commission finished asking their questions.
Jim Angle pressing to have a still photo released. McClellan has stated he believes a few stills were taken before the meeting commenced.
Some female reporter stridently demanding to know if Bush and Cheney will respond to any follow-ups. From her phrasing and tone ("others have said they would cooperate") she acts like the answer would be "no". McClellan says they will continue to cooperate. He reminds the report will be issued pretty soon and they can review it.
Oh, brother.

After my last post, I went outside and transplanted three hosta. I come back in, and they are asking the same questions.
You blew it, White House press corps. You are so boring Fox has gone to the Jayson Williams trial.

All- Lee Hamilton had an appointment to see the Prime Minister of Canada is what I heard on the radio.Huh? What the heck is the co-chair of the 9/11 commission doing meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada? Or does it have something to do with his real job as a lobbyist, or something?

Nancy Pelosi should ever live long enough to be able to put our President down. What a sl#t. Place in her position as dim leader in the house because she could raise funds - hell, get Heidi Fleiss if you want funds raised. But maybe they did.

Who gives the dead soldiers' wives big money - and these soldiers went to do good and they did it. They didn't just get caught in a giant meat grinder by happenstance.

I have a feeling President Bush and Vice President Cheney just gave the 9/11 Commission a big can of Woop Ass.
In other words, if the 9/11 Commission wants to continue to play this game, go right ahead, there are alot more memos etc that can be released to the Public. In other words, we know what your skeletons are and those you represent......Do you really want to continue to play this game? Thank you President Bush for finally standing up to this sham of a commission.

Did you catch her comments last night re: Condi Rice? Not to mention Henry "Lon Chaney" Waxman's...their treatment of her as "damaged goods" now makes me think that WH should never have agreed to let her testify. It's all just a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't situation now for the Administration.

Here's the daily email from ABC's NIGHTLINE:
Nightline Daily E-Mail
April 29, 2004
"TONIGHT'S FOCUS: The President and the Vice President have met with the 9/11 Commission today in an unprecedented session. We wanted to look tonight at the role of the Vice President, who has really remade the office.
As I write this, the President is up on every television monitor in the office. He is talking about the session with the Commission. The session was unprecedented in many ways, not least in that it was a joint appearance by the President and the Vice President.
Every Vice President is different, it's a difficult position to hold. But most observers believe that Mr. Cheney has been one of the most powerful and influential Vice Presidents in history.
Mr. Cheney has played a major role in the war on terrorism and the war in Iraq. He is thought to have been one of those pushing hardest for action against Saddam Hussein. So tonight we wanted to take a look at the Vice President, as seen through the eyes of people who know him and work with him. Ted is anchoring tonight.
I know that this is a little short, which I'm sure many of you will appreciate. But I am swamped dealing with tomorrow night's broadcast. This has become far more controversial than I ever expected. But there is one important point.
Because of time constraints, we had decided that we could only read the names of those killed in combat. This would have left out more than 200 other service members who were killed. None of us were happy with that. I received a phone call from the father of a soldier who was decorated for bravery, but was killed in a truck accident on his way back from the front. His father asked how could we possibly not include his son and the others? The answer is that we couldn't. We have been given extra time by ABC so that we can include all of those killed in Iraq.
This means that Nightline will run 40 minutes tomorrow night. Whether it's for the entire broadcast, or just for twenty seconds, I hope that you will join us tomorrow night, and reflect in your own ways on the sacrifices made by these men and women.
Leroy Seivers and the Nightline Staff"

She was brilliant and I am glad she ended up testifying publicly as that is what started the ball rolling to discredit this kangaroo court.
Only the delusional dems would try to convince themselves it backfired.

"- Gorelick still must resign and be called as a witness to have any chance at partial rehabilitation."
Been away for over a week and news has been pretty sketchy - but I still feel Gorelick is better on the committee than off. Once gone, we will never hear from her again - or at least until hillary clinton is on stage, puke!!!! I want her questioned and taking responsibility. I was shocked that the last I heard she can't be called because she wasn't on the original list. Thats junk!!!! Big time junk!!!
