My apologies if a thread already exists. I did a search on "Toomey" and found nothing.
I arrived at my polling area (suburban Philadelphia) at 6:45 am to hand out palm cards. The weather is terrific this morning, but turnout (I thought) was light (I had to leave at 9:15, but will be back).
Actually, I have a good feeling about Pat.

Can God's plans for Toomey be changed by prayer?I'll regard that as a sincere, rather than cynical question. The answer is yes. If you studied Scripture, you'd be familiar with the person of Hezekiah, King of Israel. It was God's stated will that the king die at a prescribed time. That was announced to him. He prayed that his life be extended (even though it might be contrary to God's will). God acquiesced. The consequences to that life extension were regrettable -- the birth of the vile king, Manasseh (the king who sawed Isaiah to death). Hence, prayer can change events to conform or go contrary to God's will. Hence, we add "Thy will be done."

If Toomey doesn't pulls this off, it's because his campaign declined to use my slogan which I offered for free: "I got a Tumor for Toomey."
To: HamiltonJay
Hey Hoeffel isn't exactly Mr. Charisma. Toomey can take him.

I know very little about PA politics.... if Specter wins the nod, will Toomey supporters stay home during the general election in November?
To: KQQL
Nahhhh, I'm not that greedy. :-) I'm simply wishing for a 52-48% Toomey victory.

"Winning your parties primary even by a large margin statewide is not in the least an indicator of ones ability to win a general election state wide."
And he never said it was. He said if Toomey could beat Specter statewide, it stands to reason that he could be Hoeffel too.
That's a big difference, and you should know it.
IT's still
Toomey 0%
Scottish LAW 0%

Tell me about it (not-so-proud ex-owner of a Vic-20). Vic-20, Commodore 64, Commodore 128, Amiga 500 -- I am a glutton for punichment ;-)
BTW - I still have the C-64 and the Amiga, and both still work!

if Specter wins the nod, will Toomey supporters stay home during the general election in November? Probably not in a presidential election year. I'm pulling the R lever so whoever wins I'm voting for.

All I can say is American Idol is pathetic tonight. Would that be a substantially different characterization than any other night?

Dammit Coop, quit bogarting the doobie... cmon cmon pass it over! LOL! My pee tests say otherwise. I'm a nerd - never touched the stuff. My vice is imported beer (but none from France!).
