Good testimony! I'm sure we can multiply your story by at least 3 million voters.

You do understand, Durt, you'll now have to learn to be racist, a warmonger, against clean air and water and a host of other issues which Conservatives sooooo cherish.
Welcome !

Welcome aboard.
How are your warmongering classes going?
If you need any help with studying to be a racist, give us a shout.
Don't worry - you'll be done with Elitism 101 pretty soon.

Welcome aboard.
In my local area (NY) you could count on being ostracised after your decision.
The local Dems here can be pretty vicious when it comes to such things.
If such should happen, we're here.
Take care of yourself, good luck, welcome aboard, and safe travels.

Did the GOP's big tent, compassionate, big government, big spending, new conservatism have any attraction to you as a democrat?

Welcome... I was A democrat for 19 yrs.. I just changed my party affiliation last year..I have never been happier. The things I notice now are amazing, It's nice to have a brain of my own and know how to use it, instead of blaming everyone for my own actions, I take care of my own responsabilities.....It's like I have opened my eyes..FINALLY.... :)

I never felt so good about anything in my life as when I changed my registration. Now I have to call the dumbnuts at the votere registration because they sent me a card telling me to send in I.D. because I am a first time voter in the state of New York. What dingbats. I have been voting in New York State since Reagan. He was the first president I voted for.

I really understand how you feel. I was a Democrat all my life-as was my family. In 1994, I changed my party because I was horrified at the direction the Democratic Party was heading. I had never voted for any Republican before this. I was very saddened because I believed in the "old" Democratic Party-the party of Roosevelt, Kennedy and Truman. In a sense, the Democratic Party left us...they adopted socialist rather than democratic principles and practices. LOL

awesome! and just in time for Kerry's pathetic, insulting, demeaning appearance on GMA this morning, you're no doubt feeling pretty good, pretty confident :)
To: Durtrider
Woo hoo! Welcome to the Grand Old Party! Your "last straw" reason is exactly why I believe others will do the same this year.
Now, just get a hundred of your Democrat friends to see the same light. :o)
