No big deal. When I was in school I was thrown out the window at least once a day, from the second floor. I am now and avid skydiver.

They need discipline back in schools for sure, but throwing some kid with a skull full of mush out the window might be going a tad bit overboard at this point in time anyway....

Have you noticed a spate of these school stories? It's near the end of the school year and these things happen when teachers have had enough. To avoid these unpleasant episodes, the school year should be shortened to the old 160 days. That's when the scores for standardized tests were much higher than they are now, by the way.

The girl became upset and began to use profanity and hit the office assist button on the classroom wall, the incident report said. The teacher then allegedly told two 14-year-old boys to pick up the girl and throw her out the window. The two boys later told principal Kenneth Daniels that they threw the girl out the window because they did not want to be written up for disobeying a teacher. The teacher resigned Wednesday, Roberts said.

Give the teacher a fair trial and a fast hanging.

I taught High School for three years. I wanted to do this one time but I didn't.

Dang, you can't duct tape them to their desks or throw them out of the classroom. What's a teacher to do?

What the He** is teacher doing taking a student's photograph without permission, and, when asked about it, responded with disparaging remarks about the girl's appearance?

The student's outrage is perfectly understandable and appropriate, IMHO. Perhaps she should have remonstrated without profanity, but this is clearly an incident provoked by the teacher. And, then, telling boys to defenestrate the girl was over the top. That's assault and battery, and the boys and the teacher should do some serious jail time for it.

The two boys later told principal Kenneth Daniels that they threw the girl out the window because they did not want to be written up for disobeying a teacher.

This statement, more than the teacher's meltdown, tells me there is something really wrong at the Sharp Learning Center in Newton County.

This is a public school right??

I'm not siding with the teacher ... but I get the feeling there's more to this story

These kids show no respect for authority, but when they push a teacher beyond the breaking point, their parents stand at the ready to sue the pants off the school and to destroy the career of the teacher.

And people wonder what has happened to our education system.
