No, dear. Drudge is simply playing up something that JFK said way back in the early 1970's as if it was a present-day flip-flop. Not a present-day flip-flop, just one in a looong history of flip-flops.
That's the great thing about Kerry, no matter what your position is on any issue, you can always find something that he has said in support of it.

"IF" JFKerry can seduce people by his supposed standing as a Catholic, that is very telling of the status of too many within the Catholic church.
Christ told Peter the one who was to found the "Church" to fish from the right side of the boat and he was not fishing for fish.
Now those being the words of Christ instruction around 2000 years ago has gotten lost among most churches of today. Interesting that in this day and age that our political parties are divided with the "Right" versus "Left".

This was over thirty years ago. Many people have changed their abortion perspective in thirty years. I am afraid I don't think this is a big deal.

I am afraid I don't think this is a big deal.Agreed. However, it may, if nothing else, force Kerry to calm down the baby-killer crowd by swearing his undying alliegance to them once again. Maybe he'll even take Weasley Clark's position, and say that an unborn child is fair game for the abortion mills up to and including the moment of birth.

So was his military service, which is a cornerstone of his presidential campaign. Kerry is runing on his past with no vision for the future. A deadly combination for someone with no core values.

I voted for the uterus before I voted against it.

As with gay marriage now, it was just a dishonest position of convenience. It's a way to get votes while being radical. Why anyone believes the states' rights argument now is beyond me. There is a long tract record of liberals pushing their radical social agenda through the courts. And how can you argue states' rights -- which implies it is a legislative rather than a constitutional issue -- while all your arguments are constitutional arguments? Liberals are big fat liars.

It's significant in that it is the same phony position he is now taking on gay marriage. Anyone who believes him is a liar. He uses states' rights as a stall tactic, waiting for the day the SCOTUS does the legislating for all states on yet one more radical liberal issue. He is a phony. That's what it says to me.

So Kerry is for overturning Roe-vs.-Wade. Cool

The paradox was never more clear:
At the 2003 NARAL Pro-Choice America Dinner, Catholic Kerry described pro-lifers as "the forces of intolerance."
The current Pope has framed the issue starkly by calling pro-choicers "foot soldiers in the Culture of Death. "

This one is weak as hell. The quote is from 1972. A lot of people change their minds over the course of 32 years.

Also documented
here.
Flip-Flopped On Leaving Abortion Up To States
Kerry Used To Say Abortion Should Be Left Up To States. I think the question of abortion is one that should be left for the states to decide, Kerry said during his failed 1972 Congressional bid. (John Kerry On The Issues, The [Lowell, MA] Sun, 10/11/72)
Now Kerry Says Abortion Is Law Of Entire Nation. The right to choose is the law of the United States. No person has the right to infringe on that freedom. Those of us who are in government have a special responsibility to see to it that the United States continues to protect this right, as it must protect all rights secured by the constitution. (Sen. John Kerry [D-MA], Congressional Record, 1/22/85)
