[history]
John O'Neill, the Vietnam veteran who took on John Kerry in the 1971 debate on American "war crimes" that was recently rebroadcast on C-SPAN, will be interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN this evening. O'Neill, who commanded a Swift boat in the same division as Kerry -- though for considerably longer -- more than held his own against Kerry during a 90-minute special broadcast of the Dick Cavett Show. Now he is challenging Senator Kerry to continue the debate they began 33 years ago, in an effort to clear the names of the Vietnam veterans Kerry once accused of war crimes "committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command."

"Well, let's not kid ourselves that this alone is going to torpedo Kerry's candidacy."
It does with where the media stands.
America will wake up Wed AM and see who the liberal media really is.
ANY media that gives Hanoi Kerry free campaign time is no better than he is.
To: jrlc
They stated on C-Span, the day of the airing, that Mr. O'Neil was recovering from donating a kidney to his wife. I hope that he and his wife are doing well.

Kerry needs to be exposed for his vicious lies. I think this issue and his slandering of US soldiers and his opportunistic stances are a warning that this man is unstable to be President. I hope Kerry will have to answer for his war criminals charges against Vietnam veterans since that is the only thing in which Kerry cites for why he should be President.

"John will also be interviewing with MSNBC and the Los Angeles Times in the near future, as he works to counter the poisonous image of Vietnam veterans that was created by John Kerry, Jane Fonda, the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, and the other American friends of Hanoi."
CNN, MSNBC, LA Times, a radio Station in Cleveland.
So much for "fair and balanced" FOX NEWS

Meg, thank you very much for the ping.
As luck would have it, 5:15 is 2:15 here and I'll be out for at least an hour so will miss it. I will look for trusty freeper notes of his appearance.

I'm glad this is going to be on CNN rather than FOX, because the demrats won't be able to say that it's a Non-fair and balanced 'Fox spin'.The DU'ers think CNN is too Conservative and CNN Headline News is fair and balanced, or as I would say Liberal.

Incredible, on CNN, MSNBC, and the LA Times no less. Well, it's likely enough that they'll try to marginalize him in various ways. It will be interesting to see how that plays out. John O'Neill is a very credible individual who thinks well on his feet, so biased interviewers may have more on their hands than they bargained for.

This should be good. O'Neill was so much sharper than Kerry in the debate 30 years ago. I doubt Kerry would ever sit down with O'Neill.
Thanks for the post!

Thanks for the ping Mo1. At first I thought CNN had a card up it's sleeve and was trying to divert viewers from Brit Hume, and I thought Brit must be having somebody outstanding on. Then I realized the shows aren't in the same time slot
Well, maybe I can watch Wolfie for a little while. On the upside, Rumsfeld is on Hannity & Crud tonight.
