[history]
Internal Revenue Service agents are investigating a Pensacola man who operates a creationist theme park and museum off Old Palafox Road and who they say is evading taxes on more than $1 million in income.
This week, federal IRS agents raided the home and businesses of Kent Hovind, 51, in the first block of Cummings Road, confiscating all computer and paper records of financial activity since January 1997.

"The way it is" is not the same as "the way it must be".

"The way it is" is not the same as "the way it must be".True, but "the way it is" is "the way it is". There was a Soviet Union, and there is a Red China. They were/are not so tolerant of religion.

We chose differently. In any case, I don't think that the state's treatment of Kent Hovind makes a very good yardstick for measuring that tolerance, for a variety of reasons.

When I give money to the church I AM giving it to God. Please produce your receipt with His signature on it.

How Randian of you ;) Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.

If someone is operating a "church" for the sole purpose of evading the payment of taxes then that "church" is not a "church." It is a tax dodge.

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. If you think that's what I'm saying, then the point of my post sailed right over your head.

I LOVE your tag line -- it's my absolute favorite Jack Handey quote. He should win a Pulitzer or something in my opinion... ;^)
To: IrishRainy
I agree- the guy who writes the Jack Handey stuff is one o fthe most overlooked humorists of our time.
Check out my new tagline. Totally different head, so to speak.

To the extent that one says "there is no God," then that is the extent that the post applied to anyone. In that case, the person is under or not under the evaluation of scripture.
