Jazeera Airs Tape of U.S. Soldier 'Hostage' in Iraq (16 April, 2004)

DUBAI (Reuters) - Arabic television station Al Jazeera aired Friday a video tape it said was from an unidentified Iraqi guerrilla group, apparently showing a U.S. soldier hostage.
The poor-quality tape showed a white male dressed in military fatigues sitting on the floor surrounded by masked gunmen. One of the men, reading a statement, said their hostage was an American soldier who later on in the tape identified himself as Keith Matthew Maupin.

Good afternoon everyone. God keep all safe and stay strong. Happy check your email. Just got home, now going over this and I am totally pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This a very, very serious mistake on their part. As far as I know gloves are off. I also believe visit by our F-15 should be made to Al Jazeera and blow their reporting studio from the face of the earth. I would not share a small tear, if some of their reporters get knock out. After all, they want to die.
I believe we will see our guys in full fledge action very,very,very soon. Second thing I notice, media is in glee over this, pathetic traitors!!!!!!
As for family of their son I said a prayer and send my strong hope to have faith. God will take care it. Don't give up. Pray, pray, you have a lot of people praying for you already.
Let our soldiers take care of that, soon I will be helping too, but we need to be strong. Listen to FNC, Oliver North is on now!

They showed our Soldier's face - a violation of the Geneva Convention, isn't it?
Does that now make Al Jazeera a fair enemy target? WHEN is something going to be done to al Jazeera?!!! They should've been taken out long ago!

It is good to be back - though I am limping with a nasty head cold. But much more pressing, my beloved brother in law was called home yesterday and I am awaiting a phone call for the funeral arrangements. My sister had already gone home in 2001.
Their two adult children survive. Prayers for them would be much appreciated!
