Anyone that thinks a comet with a dia of 10,000k is in our inner solar system is crazy. 10,000k is a planet not a comet. Maybe 10,000k head to tail, which is not impressive concidering how close to the sun or comet is.
Passing thru the tail of such a comet should cause a very nice light show. Most likely nothing very big in the comets tail.

This article from Electric Universe forwards the new idents which science is learning/debating concerning comet behaviour.
Comet Borrelly rocks core scientific beliefs
Other articles on comets at Electric Universe for those interested.
Several comets which transited in in the past decade ..*Outgassed from the Electrical activity occuring in them.
Marsden noted that Comet Halley was throwing off outgassing volumes ..equivilent energy of the Space shuttle at lift off ..for days and months.
This changes the comets orbital track..requiring recalcualtion to margin its next return parameters.
Electric Universe has been a great learning/resource centre for me..
Forward info links...let others run with it.
Speaking of Comets tails...
Venus's Plasma sheath still stretches out to the Earths AU distance from the Sun.
Immanuel Velikovsky comments that Venus's Plasma sheath *Glowed in history..was clearly seen by the inhabitiants of the Earth..was a stupendous prodigy in the sky.
The Glowing Plasma sheath looked like *2 Horns from the viewers perspective.
Velikovsky noted the sudden imergence of Bull and Cow worship in many cultures...the Horns of Venus..the Horns of the Bull and Cow.
Wether this occured from Venus's AU distance static..or that Venus's had recently ..*Pulled in from Transit into orbital lock and resonance is anyones guess.
It makes for fascinating study : )

It's too bad we only got one news report from Australia and Bill Bradfield regarding estimated size, there's been nana
(nothing) from any other news agencies. I don't know why?
On April 24th (Sat) we will be able to see Comet F4 (Bradfield) and Comet C/2002 T7 (Linear) in the Northern
night/pre-dawn skys (@6am,est?) due East, here's the sky map provided by spaceweather:
http://www.spaceweather.com/images2004/24apr04/skymap_north.gif
Both Comets will be side by side, F4 is moving away, BUT
T7 is the one to watch and learn about. This will be our
first opportunity to see them both, so get out those old/new telescopes and let's see them for ourselfs.
10,000 KM is kind of Big ! I wonder what T7 looks like compare to F4 ???
