Does anyone think it is odd that Timothy McVeigh was executed so quickly? Usually it takes 10-20 years to run out its appeals. I know he was convicted in the Federal system, but damn, he was killed within 8 or 10 months it seems. I wonder what he took the the grave with him that might have fit in Gorelicks playbook?

Yeah, all the conspiracy theorists.

Simple answer: He didn't continue to fight the penalty, therefore the timeframe was a lot shorter owing to his failure to contest the verdict on appeal ...
