The media isn't even pretending to be unbiased anymore. ABC admitted as much on their website earlier this year. The problem is, they, and CBSNBCCNN won't admit it on the air. There are still some suckers who buy every bit of snake oil they sell.

Gorelick can apologize to her countrymen for lying to them.
Letter to commission by Alberto Gonzales
Commissioner Gorelick suggested that Dr. Rices statement in the Post editorial ... [o]ur plan called for military options to attack al Qaeda and Taliban leadership, ground forces and other targets taking the fight to the enemy where he lived was inaccurate. In fact, as records made available months ago to the Commission demonstrate, the draft National Security Presidential Directive on al Qaeda approved by deputies and Principals before September 11, 2001 included a direction to the Department of Defense to plan for military action against: Taliban targets in Afghanistan, including leadership, command-control, air and air defense, ground forces and logistics (as well as numerous al Qaeda targets ).
It is clear, then, that Dr. Rices Washington Post op-ed was entirely consistent with the documentary record provided to the Commission.

The presidential news conference is necessary so the public can see and hear George Bush, unfiltered by [the Leftist media]Frankly, President Bush is not good at extemporaneous responses to questions, particularly when the questions are viciously designed by his enemies to trip him up. Bush should simply forgo these sham "news" conferences, and just give State of the Union Addresses from the Oval Office.

The president's honesty, integrity, and decency stood in stark contrast to the lack of those attributes in his questioners. He defeats them at their "gotcha game" simply by being the genuinely good man that he is. They don't seem to have a clue, and don't have the depth of character to help themselves if they did.

The sad truth is that the liberals and the liberal media hate our President more than they hate our sworn enemies the terrorists.
May God protect the USA.

The president's honesty, integrity, and decency stood in stark contrast to the lack of those attributes in his questioners. I watched George W Bush the other night and wondered why he didn't do this more often. He's darned good at it. The enemy (press corps) kept throwing him screwballs, and he'd hit them out of the park.
But I did realize that a session like this must be excruciating to him.
The enemy kept asking questions designed to elicit answers along the line "I made a mistake" or "I apologize for my part in 9-11." He handled them extraordinarily well.
I particularly liked his response when asked what mistakes he has made since 9/11. The President looked at the floor for awhile, and then looked up and said "If I think of any, I'll let you know", or words to that effect.
Some people thought he was fumbling; I thought, "There's an old Baja Oklahoma guy who just leveled his opponent."

Since Clark feels like apologizing somebody should ask how he can in good conscience make $$$ on his book
Better yet he should DONATE all the profits to the families of GIs killed fighting Bin Laden in Afkanistan
They can use it to educate the orphans of the men who died

And now, unlike when the pressies helped the other side in the Viet Nam War, we have media and people to expose their betrayal and desire to defeat America to the American public.

At a presidential news conference what prevents the president from calling on a variety of reporters so that it balances out to one conservative to one socialist?

I agree with you...and, if the president does come up with anything he considers mistakes, I doubt seriously they will be along the lines the left is hoping.
He is obviously a man committed to what he believes is right, and doing everything in his power to accomplish it.
He would have to be as lame-brained and stupid as they're always trying to make him out to be to have taken a self-flaggelating ride on one of their projected guilt trips.
