Airless America's metaphoric views of a Minority Radio Operator
http://www.airamericaradio.com/pub/resNews.htm ^

After just two weeks on the air, Air America Radio, the fledgling liberal talk-radio network featuring Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo, and that really loud woman from Florida, appears to have encountered serious cash-flow problems.
Stop the presses!!! Theres nothing more exciting than half a story from a third hand source!!!!
Insiders tell SLUDGE, that the reason the network was pulled off the air this morning in Chicago and Los Angeles, the network's second- and third-largest markets, was because, the owner of both stations, Arthur Liu of Multicultural Broadcasting, said, the network bounced a check and owes him more than $1 million! The run-on sentence, tortured grammar and the exclamation point clearly means its true!!
Only it isnt.
Normally wed let this go because habitual liars like Drudge are laughable, and ridicule is our business.
But Arthur Liu --- not funny. He lied to us, he ripped us off and now were chasing him down with a pipe wrench. Its a metaphor.
Heres what really happened:
This Liu-ser was ripping off our boss Evan Cohen big time (he cant do that, thats our job). Evan found out about it and he stopped payment on a check to keep Liu-cifer from ripping him off even more. You can touch Evan for the occasional meal or drinks but a million bucks is crossing the line. And if we ever get low on cash, we can always call Barbra Streisand. Or any of the Baldwins. Except Stephen.
So we got screwed, Liud, and tattooed. How Liu can you get? In Liu of payment. Liud and lascivious behavior. These write themselves. What were getting at is that we hate him.
So now everyones saying were going down the dumper in Chicago and Los Angeles, but what they dont tell you is that were still on in Portland. And we OWN Portland. And lets not forget Riverside and Plattsburgh. And New York. And streaming on the internet. And XM. And Sirius. Actually were fine.
So cool your jets. Air America Radio isnt dead, were in court and were going to slam Lius head in a car door. Another metaphor. We hope to be back on the air tomorrow or the next day in those markets.
In the meantime, why dont you give Arthur a call at (212)966-1059, or check out his website www.mrbi.net
Arthur Liu, I wouldnt show your face around here.
Or Riverside. Or Plattsburgh.

This is blatant hate speech, racism, defamation, and slander against a Chinese-American businessman. And it extremely not funny.
Can you imagine the outcry there would be if someone said something like this against an African-American?
Why should we put up with this? If I were in the U.S., I'd sue.

Thank you.
You confirmed what I have believed. Rich liberals may talk loud about supporting ErrAmerica with millions; but when it's THEIR money they are talking about, suddenly the money actually has meaning.
I sincerely doubt that the millionares backing ErrAmerica are willing to risk even a small percentage of their income without results. Heaven forbid that they lose their money and join 'The Great Unwashed'.

I read this, and I actually had to click the link to see if it was real. Amatuer hour does not begin to describe it. High school radio club does not come close. The level of prepubescent vitriol displayed in this news release defies all comparison.
These people are a bad joke, even to themselves.

I read the thing, trying to see what there point was. I think there argument boils down to "Mr. Liu has a funny name".
Yet another shining moment for modern liberal multiculturalism.

I'm guessing they won't be going back on the air in those cities, at least not on Liu's stations.
Talk about burning your bridges...

As yes how nice of them to admit openly it was a BAD CHECK.
That is the pertinent fact.

Air America Radio isnt dead, were in court and were going to slam Lius head in a car door. Metaphor or no metaphor, this is racist hate speech. On behalf of all Asians, I DEMAND an apology.
Please, my American friends, we cannot stand by and let the liberals attack and defame a businessman simply because he refused to bankroll their liberal drivel on his radio stations.
In the meantime, why dont you give Arthur a call at (212)966-1059, or check out his website www.mrbi.net
Yes, and express your support for his removal of Al Franken's unprofitable propaganda from his radio network.
Here's to you, Mr. Liu!

Poor Air America - Excrement In Broadcasting (EIB Parody there) - What doesn't appear in their press release is the fact that they have to pay to have their twaddle put on the air.
Like another poster said on another thread, "It's like the parents of an ugly child that had to tie a porkchop around the kid's neck so the dog would play with him."
To: bondjamesbond
This "press release" has "Franken" written all over it.
How do I know?
It's not funny.
It "humorously" advocates violence.
It thinly masks a growing, desparate realization that the career is dead, dead, dead.

Don't let it bother you wai-ming. Liberals in this country are beyond reasoning with. Their logic path is faulty. I've had more meaningful conversations with with my weiner dogs. They have a bizzare way of justifying their actions. If a conservative were to say these things the media would be all over it demanding us to give an immediate apology. We are held to a hirer standard. Which is a good thing. I beleive most people do see this hypocracy.

Never have I seen such a dramatic demonstration of the short distance from "We want to save to World" to "All you mud people, up against the wall..."
Of course it happens over and over again, but rarely do you see it compressed down to a 24 hour period.
