I pray for a reporter that says, "Mr. President, THANK YOU for your leadership. What is on YOUR mind?" Don't hold your breath, I don't think Rush is there or any conservatives!!
To: Inspectorette
I PRAY you are correct. I am sorry for sounding so pessimistic - but I just cannot get over how low the press/media has gone. The media seems to have such a hatred for Bush.
Sad.
To: bannie
The facts just piss these liberal media whores off.

I'm amazed at how cool Bush is in the face of these type of directed questions. Nothing but left wing political questions so far.

Mentioning success with Libya.
Equating that with our action in Iraq.
Also mentioning other victors in WOT.

The perss is pikuting cause they're having to work tonight. Unlike the previous 8 years, for the past 3 years they've gotten to go home for dinner.

I'll bite...what would you have him say?

Trust me, Bush is doing better than I could have ever hoped for in this Q&A session, and the media is looking horrible Agreed but people have short memories and they will listen to the spin from the Matthews/Russerts/Brokaws and forget what they thought they heard.
To: CalKat
We have your bill clinton, who had no interest in anything but himself, from his grandiose behavior, to getting his blow jobs in the Oval Office to blame for 9/11.
To: bannie
Huh?
You CAN'T hand democracy over to people stuck in the 6th Century who shoot guns straight up into the air, beat themselves with chains and swords and subscribe to a barbaric bastardization of a religion that demands they make war on "infidel" non-Muslims.

These reporters and their inane and malicious questions are useful idiots, for they not only expose their own bias but inadvertently, they've given President Bush a chance to reassert his leadership and resolve.
To: altura
Swatting flies Absolutely correct!
To: Joe Hadenuf
You've never liked one thing George Bush ever did anyway, so why should we be surprised now?
To: ride the whirlwind
The media deck is sure stacked against our president tonight, isn't it? He is holding his own though. They haven't been listening to the argument he laid out.
They just want to get their soundbites of President Bush talking about his "feelings" about 9/11 and any possible responsiblity he may accept for the attacks.
Rather than ask questions about tonight's speech, they came at him with the same accusations they've been making in the media ("Bush Knew!" "Bush Didn't Know And Dropped The Ball From Security Plans Of The Previous Administration!" "Quackmire! Quagmire!")
None of them have addressed the President's charge that the negative press (and Vietnam comparisons) only serve to embolden the terrorists. None have defended their right to diseminate false propaganda to provide aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of war and accused the president of trying to silence his critics.
