Just called the Florida GOP and asked if they were aware of this ad. The nice lady I spoke with said they are being flooded with calls about the ad. The GOP here is aware.
As a side note, I also called the Dem party of Florida. They deny this group is chartered by the party even though the charter is on their website!!!
The Dems lie about EVERYTHING.
Hint to all, if a Democrat tells you it's raining outside, get out the beach ball, it's a beautiful, sunny day.

We have all used figure of speech in our comments about political leaders we do not like There is a huge difference between off the cuff commentary in a discussion and a PAID ADVERTISEMENT from a political party.

The law, when it comes to physical threats, does not make such a, uh, nuanced distinction.

What really needs to happen is to convince all of the "genetic" Democrats to stop voting them in. There are many Democratic voters who, in point of fact, have nothing in common with those who they vote for. But somehow, they keep falling hook line and sinker for the demonization of the GOP. Union members, ethnics, and, major percentages of certain states, automatically vote the Democrat slate. Here is an huge unexploited opportunity to swell the GOP ranks and it does not even require moderation or a big tent. Simply be honest and forthright about patriotism, abortion, and other key issues of tradition. Add a bit of nationalist spice. There you have it, permanent party switch of all the Reagan Democrats plus some ems who voted for Carter and Mondale.

This election cycle is shaping up as the most vicious, bitter, and partisan fight ( all on the 'rat side, I might add... ) that I have ever seen. I started politics with Barry Goldwater.

At the point MineralMan posted, Drudge only had the teaser up that an unnamed Floriduh paper took the ad, and the image the Admin Moderator put on there as part of the update wasn't available yet (see the
original article)

I'm not! I believe most "sane" people already know this dem group is loony.
My concern is for the REAL LOONS out there who would take this statement as a SIGN that they were somehow tasked with taking Rumsfeld out. This is very dangerous stuff.

Drudge is not at fault...but I do think he needs to lay off the sugar pills once and awhile.
I think some of the attacks on them as if they are actually inciting violence is misplaced. Better to attack them about their wrongful characterization of Iraq as Vietnam or other fallacies in that ad. Not as a bunch of violence inciting holligans, because clearly that bares false under any amount of scrutiny.

If it had been a Republican club saying the same thing about a Clinton, Kerry, Kennedy, etc., there woul be no end to their screeching for the FBI to bust down the doors with guns a blazing. Actually, the FBI would have already burst down the doors with guns a-blazin'.

Thanks. I just sent the Drudge link to a "Done drunk the kool-aid" Democrat that I know.
To: clintonh8r
Actually it does. In fact, one must be reasonable afraid of the actual threat of physical harm - I don't think Rumsfeld actually thinks that some yahoos from Florida will try to shoot him.
