Heads up Peach. We both transcribed (see your #391 I'm posting a reply to) about Rice testifying to the hijack warnings and the DNC talking point is being issued that it was Bob Kerrey that "revealed" this during his questioning. Yours and my (and probably others') posts put the lie to this.

Someone needs to confront them with the transcript before this goes further.

And as an aside, these reporters either listened and innocently missed this, did not watch and merely listened to the dem version of what was said and reported it as gospel, or they did listen and reported DNC version nonetheless.

After a quick scan of the news I can not find anything about any convoys being attacked or blocked from Fallujah. The Marines are the ones who have Fallujah surrounded. FNC Reporting only one Marine killed today but plenty of damage done to the Mosque where the rebels are hiding.

In one of the towns some of the Rebels grabbed some Japanese aid workers and are saying they will be killed unless Japan withdraws its forces from Iraq which Japan has already said will not happen.

There was no march to bring relief supplies to the insurgents either. No report of that on any credible news source that I can find.

We are using as much force as necessary to uproot the rebels. It's house to house and alley to alley. The Marines are going into Fallujah hitting various areas and retreating. It's almost making a statement that they can move in and out of the city as they please.

But under no circumstances from what I can gather from people I talk to still there are we in any way doing some kind of PC kinder/gentler treatment of the thugs in Fallujah.

AFP and accuracy are exactly synanomous. I looked at FNC and MSNBC news and didn't see anything about what you were asking about.

I'm not saying the story isn't out there. But coming from a French news aagency I'd be highly skeptical.
