I wasn't aware that our Army was restricted to Christians. I thought Americans of every religion were eligible to serve and do serve.
Good thing I have Bob Kerrey to set me straight on that!

Roemer asked why Clarke's stating, "There something we should do something soon", was ignored?
How freaking lame.
Clarke portrayed as the Paul Revere of 9/11?? LOL!

I'd like to think that people will hear the applause and condemn this witch-hunt for what it truly is. Whether our liberal media will let that happen is a difficult proposition at best.
But you're right - for this panel to have even an appearance of credibility, those people need to be removed.

Despite effective references, albeit veiled, to the previous administration, the most glaring omission in these hearings is the failure to point out the congressional failures.
Congress is responsible for the FAA's failure to alter the airline industry.
Congress is responsible for the structural disconect between foreign and domestic threats.
Congress is responsible for the aversion to human intelligence.
Congress is responsible for shackling the CIA in taking action against terrorists before they get here
Congress is responsible for the climate of open doors to terrorist as tourists and students.
The Congress is responsible for failing to declare war on terrot prior to 9/11 -- with the Cole -- with the 93 bombing -- with Kobar towers.
Our Constitution makes the Congress the more powerful branch, among equals, in scope allowed to it. The Executive must execute what Congress legislates and forms. Congress has failed to confront these threats before 9/11 and even post 9/11.

VB - you arse, of course AQ was in flight school here and during CLINTON! A interesting tidbit of info that I found yesterday on Ben-Veniste:
At the same time Wally Hilliard's Venice flight school was training dozens of terrorists to flyincluding both pilots crashing into the World Trade Centerthe owner of Huffman Aviation in Venice Florida was also involved in a murky aviation transaction with a multi-millionaire Texas oil-man who played a prominent role in the Whitewater Scandal.
Truman Arnold, chief fund-raiser for the Democratic Party in 1995 when the scandal broke, was investigated for a variety of dubious money-raising schemes ranging from renting out the White House's Lincoln Bedroom to selling tickets on Air Force One. He was also fingered for procuring cash (read hush money) for convicted Clinton friend Web Hubbell.
In another bizarre twist, Truman Arnolds lawyer during the Whitewater Investigation turns out to have been Democratic power-broker Richard Ben-Veniste, just nominated to serve on the 9/11 probe. If Ben-Veniste client Truman Arnold's business dealings with terror flight school owner Wally Hilliard come under scrutiny in the 9/11 probe, the slick Washington lawyer may find himself involved in a major national scandal from two different sides.

Tony Snow was wrong this morning. He said today's testimony would fairly calm because polls show that Clarke's testimony was grand standing to sell his book. Apparently the RATs on this commission didn't get that polling info.

I would bet the ranch that the media do not mention Kerrey repeatedly calling Rice "Dr. Clarke." That would be too embarrasssinfg to the Dems, so we won't see it. But millions of Americans, particularly seniors, have seen it. And if the Bush Administration wants, they can make a big deal of it -- goading the press to have to cover it.
