I thought it was pretty low when Kerrey congratulated her on how well she's done in life.

Yeah. Isn't it great? The Kerry campaign moves left.

"I think we win this one."
Experience teaches me that what seems like a win to us will be nullified - somehow - by the press. The press WILL NOT LET RICE WIN THIS, because that would be a victory for Bush, and the press has already canonized Richard Clarke.

You can be right on this, but there really are broader issues in play.
BCRW. BCRW.
The idea of a black conservative Republican woman is largely unknown in the black community. If there were BCRW groups, it becomes socially acceptable in that community.
The impact of that is ENORMOUS. Bush needs to peel off only about 5-10% of that vote and the Dems lose forever. They'd be up in that bloc 70-30 and it would still absolutely crush them. Numbers Are Everything.

WTH's next?!?! This Klown has her being responsible for running the entire government practically now. Unbelievable.Glad to see he realizes she'll be elected in 2008 and her job description will be to run the entire government.
To: section9
Yes, she just had to don her professor hat and explain to the dimwit the definition of "warning"
God bless her patient soul!

He is a kind man, thank God it will end with Jim He is kind and gentlemanly indeed.

Rice admonishes Roemer for insisting on making the August PDB available to the public. Points out he has read it and is referencing it, for example, so he has not been deprived of its contents.
Now she addresses the Clarke memo that Roemer implied contained the wisdom of the ages. Rice describing it and it is no such thing. It's not a warning doc. All of them had this fear of an attack.
It would not be correct to characterize what Dick wrote as a warning of an impending threat. It was a memo to Rice encouraging her not to feel bogged down by beaurocracy.
Thompson up and praising her for her service. Last questioner.

Exactly!
He wants to hold Dr. Rice responsible for not knowing the exact time that lightening was going to strike. Impossible.

You mean the day Hillary played the "boys don't hit girls" fantasy. Big difference between her an Condi. You take the hit and hit back...a little harder...on principal, not duck the issue 'cause I'm a girl and it's not proper.
