Jim Thompson better have his questions lined up for Condi to knock out of the park... Time for a Republican Partisan to balance this disgraceful performance by the "Commission."
To: Sacajaweau
Good point. But Hillary is all but dead now as I see it. It's all talk, fluff, and baseless hope for the Dims. I quite honestly believe she would get absolutely trounced in a general election against anyone even remotely competent as an opponent and w/o "interference" ala Buchanon/Perot.

hehehe he's still alive... can't believe it!

Jane, how could we here at FR have been so blind as to not realize that Dick Clarke could have saved us all.
Personally, I never even heard of him before this witchhunt.
To: rintense
Roemer is way over his head here.
She'll fix his wagon.
To: cyn
Condi praising Clarke and wanted him to lead new strategy. Clarke recommended nothing that could have prevented 9-11. Even if they did everything on his list, would have been in the wrong direction. He was NOT a specialist on Afghanistan or Pakistan. Clarke had good ideas and they didn't act on all of them.
Now Condi saying Clarke NEVER asked Condi to brief the President on policy.

I noticed while he [Kerry] was addressing Dr. Rice on his view regarding the war in Iraq that she reached over and wrote something ... hopefully, it said CALL KERRY ... that might be what he will continue to remain awake at nights about ... :)

I checked DU. About 80% think their people are doing well, but they are angry Condi's answers take a long time and eat the clock, and a few have said she has "made no major gaffes" and that she is parroting Bush terror teaching seminars. I look for the Dems on the panel to claim that Dr. Rice committed perjury...

Right.Reminds me of the impeachment hearings.
To: section9
Clarke was not a specialist re: Afghanistan and that's why she brought in a specialist. Clarke not a specialist re: Pakistan, and that's why she brought someone else in. I.E., Clarke isn't the all knowing sage you purport him to be!
To: section9
At least he has the name right...
To: Fury
Arguing over what the memo said.
To: faithincowboys
No, but the commissioners should testify since they were around long before Condi got there.
To: All
Dick Clarke was not an expert on Afghanistan, Dick Clarke was not an expert on Pakistan, that's why we brought in somebody else.
That's not what he thinks. He, he he..
