Any chance for a thread 2? I can't get beyond post #750...computer keeps timing out.
Try setting your preferences to show fewer numbers per page. I keep mine set at 50, even with cable modem. Try a smaller number and it may not time out as badly.

Why can't we get some freepers in the audience. The DC Chapter is always on its best behavior.kristinn was already there but had to go to work. That's the answer to your question--conservatives have jobs!
To: txradioguy
However the visual media will use the "just answer the question" as the talking point.
He asked irrelevent or supernarrow questions in order to slip in the "just answer the question". This is actually an old trick when you have a super smart expert witness who likes to talk. Ask a yes or no anything question and then strike when they drone on.
To: BushCountry
Apparently more than a couple of those panel members may have some conflicts of interest. Hope someone does some digging.
To: TomGuy
Not to appear unduly RUDE, but where the hell did the Republican side of this commitee come from? And why can we not have some hard a**es on our side??? It looks and sounds like a group of Shoney's regulars has wandered into a Hell's Angels road house.

Dickhead bin Veniste came across as a sleazy lawyer condescending to a beautiful black woman with the mind of a steel trap. I don't believe he scores any points.
In fact, I think his tone works to Condi's advantage. He's not interested in the causes of 9/11. If he was he'd be addressing his nasty questions to Lee Hamilton, who helped gut the CIA.
To: leadpenny
He looked like he was on a mission to do absolutely whatever he had to in order to smear the Bush administration.
When Condi started slapping back, it was as if he was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He got desperate and snippy.
To: hope
Watch Condi's eyes, she's not focusing on the questioner; she's aware and looking at all of the panel members as questions move

There are no hard-a$$es in the Republican Party.
Man, the grandstanding by these commissioners is pathetic. This Fielding fool has gone on and on without a question for 2 minutes now.

"I quit watching Jim Lerher years ago because he does the same thing. In interrupts his guests to give the meaning of abbreviations they use. Maddening." Unfortunately, the excellent BRIT HUME has the same annoying habit - interrupting someone (usually during the panel) who is making a good point, just to clarify something that everyone understands anyway. It's no doubt something he learned at ABC and hasn't been able to kick the habit yet.

What ticks me off is that the document was declassified for the committee. He acted like it wasn't.
