Iraqi Fighters Planning Friday Attack, Corriere Della Sera Says
By Steve Scherer
April 7 (Bloomberg) -- Iraqi militants are planning to attack foreign forces, such as the U.S. and Italian military compounds, on Friday, the anniversary of the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime, Corriere della Sera newspaper said citing a report by Italy's foreign intelligence service.
There have been ``insistent and circumstantial signals of an imminent and simultaneous attack by Baathist loyalists to the old regime against foreign forces,'' Corriere said citing the report.
The U.S.-led coalition is facing an uprising in the south by a militia loyal to a Shiite Muslim cleric, Moqtada al-Sadr, 31. More than 100 Iraqis and 30 U.S. soldiers have been killed in fighting in the past three days in Baghdad, Najaf, Nasiriyah and other Iraqi cities.
Al-Sadr, whose Mahdi army numbers about 3,000, according to the U.S. military, has called for coalition troops to withdraw from the country.

I would not be surprised at attacks on American soil this week either. The majority of Americans will be celebrating our holy season of Easter and I wouldn't put it past terrorist to try to destroy the peace of this holiday

The ratio will improve quickly in our favor.

Let's just see if any of these a$$wipes are left on Friday.
As for casualties, I'm sure the a$$wipes are getting gunned down and bombed out at a much higher clip than our guys.
Reporters don't do enemy body counts. Just like in A'stan, they rely on the local terrorists for numbers.

It would be nice to make Fallujah an example. Just the fact that we bombed a mosque is making me have hope that we will do just that.

I'm praying for our soldiers. God help them.

I read on one of the blogs that there are thugs driving around in cars throwing out flyers that war people to stay home on April 9th. I would imagine that our troops are well aware of the threat.
