Geez...what's wrong with me. When I read this account and others like it, I get this huge lump in my throat, my eyes water and my vision begins to blur.

There are, of course, national and geopolitical reasons for our country to be in Iraq (despite the colonial warnings against foreign entanglements). But the bottom line is, we are helping people, individuals who desperately need our help. And no one, NO ONE, not the UN nor anyone else has the guts and compassion to do the right thing. The world either stood around and watched or cashed in on the corruption (ie oil for food).

We Americans and our allies, despite the dangers and the criticisms, did the right thing and are liberating country and bringing freedom to a people, just like we always do.

Thank you George W. Bush for your courage and your leadership. Despite the bumper stickers that say otherwise, you are my president. God Bless America!

Wasn't the looting last April extremely focused? As I recall, aside from Saddam and his sons's places, it seemed to be places associated with the United Nations, the Germans, and the French.
