The AP and Reuters stories said that he did take communion. Kerry attended Palm Sunday services, but not at a Catholic Church; he went to the Charles Street AME Church in Boston to take Communion. (It's been a very long time since my Catholic school religion classes, but I seem to remember that it's a big no-no for a Catholic to take Communion in other than a Catholic church. Maybe that rule has changed...)

I have heard their latest line; Sure, the job creation this month has been much higher than expected. But where are the manufacturing jobs?No No no!(I know, it's hard to keep track ;-) The new new line is that they are crappy jobs. They have some stat that the average job lost payed some $41k, the new ones pay $34k, Corzine has been the point man on this. I did like today when Chris Wallace asked him if his former possition in the securities industry was a service job. He said yes, but it is a very narrow type, not like the majority that are burger-flipper types.

Consider this: Whenever we see a picture of W at church, it's either when he goes in or comes out. No photo ops inside the sancturary.
What do you think about having cameras during COMMUNION?

We're starting to see more of them around here. One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of jobs that used to be "manufacturing" are now "service". For example, if you handle safety/workman's comp for a big steel company you are "manufacturing", but if they farm it out to a consulting agency (like many do) you are "service".

On the lighter side...
Islamic Jihad senior terrorist Iyad Hardan was killed when a public telephone exploded as he picked it up in the center of Jenin.

Some are just clueless. The latest was concerned about jobs in the Northwest area and said that the unemployment rate was so high he was concerned moving there. I had him look it up. He appreciated my correction.
