Aside from Japan and a few Pacific rim nations, can you think of any other "Non-White" "First World" nations aside from maybe Bermuda or Cayman?
I'm really not here to fight with you at all but there seems a disconnect around here sometimes between reality and paltitudes.
The fact is that aside from the few nations I just mentioned, there are no non-white First World nations at this time and those that once where and where whites have lost power are backsliding. That's the reality.
I think Pat misses the boat here by emphasizing race rather than culture which is the relevant key to me. Productive culture is not always race or ethnicity defined.
Regards.

Pat's point seems to be that even the decendants of brown-skinned immigrants, raised in the US for generations, won't be able to run the country which is the racist thing I was pointing out.

"First World" is a cold war terminology which is outdated. It means America and it's allies and included poor countries. Second world was the Soviet union and its allies. Third world was the non-aligned.
If you use the term developed, developing and underdeveloped, then the majority of the developed nations (total number barely two dozen) ARE white, but there are non-Caucasians there like the Japanese, Koreans and Singaporeans (and many do put the Malaysians in there too). When you talk about developing there ARE many Caucasian devloping nations (like the ones in Eastern Europe, India etc.).

Protestant and Confucian work ethic perhaps?

What Pat should have said is that no nation can become great and developed without a free and upwardly mobile citizenry. The fact that the poorest person can become rich through his own labors is what separates the developed countries from the others. When a nation keeps any of it's citizens from rising either through government force or government handouts its demise is soon to follow. Totalitarian and benevolent governments are the just opposite sides of the same coin.
