Give the demands of liberals and democrats for Dr. Rice to appear publicly before the commission looking into 9-11, why is it that we as Conservatives and Republicans have not demanded that both Senators John Kerry and Teddy Kennedy appear publicly before the 9-11 commission as well, given the fact that both planes that struck the World Trade Center Towers came out of Boston's Logan Airport?

I remember Logan being ranked almost dead last in security and demands from the FAA that Logan improve security, now the questions that need to be asked are, 1) Was security at the airport ever improved as demanded by the FAA? 2)If not what role or infulence did the union have on local, state and federal officials? and 3)Where either of the senators aware of the FAA demand for improved security and did they seek to delay or forgo the FAA Demands at the behest of unions?

I think these are fair questions to be asked of both men and in fact I think Senators Warner and Allen should be brought up as well given that Dulles is in their state.

Fair is indeed fair, but Bush Officials haven't been given a fair shake by this commission.

This can be used I am sure but you will have to admit so far just letting these Lying SoBs run their mouths is highly productive and blowing up in their faces big time.

And Senators don't control these matters in the last analysis. They can urge, demand or throw hissy fits but the ultimate actions must be sanctioned by the executive. So it comes down to Bush or Clinton on the federal side and no doubt you will find more absurdities coming from Clinton.

But I think just keeping the spotlight on Clarke's lies and inadvertent revelations (OKC suspicions and Al Queda/Iraq ties) is the most productive line of questioning. It has to be kept simple or the truth can too easily be talked around.

From what I have read though, Bush in fact did great.
This was a "SURPRISE" attack. If we were not surprised, then this would have been prevented. But never before have terrorists taken over a plane to use them as a weapon of mass destruction.

They also had reports that some summit was a likely target of terror at that time, not NY.

While it is a STEAMING PILE it is not a smoking gun. The list of times, if accurate, do not show anything unusual in terms of response by the military. Flight 11 crashed within 45 minutes of takeoff and you think a military flight would have been launched quicker than it was? Absurd. Planes go missing and the military is rarely called into it.

LIES. There was information that planes were to be hijacked and blown up in midair. There was NEVER any credible information that planes were going to be hijacked and piloted by the hijackers.

Hijacking wasn't a particularly new nor unique tactic and had never been done to kill innocent people although the N. Koreans had put suicide bombers on planes in Asia.
