US Promises to Punish Those Responsible for Gruesome Iraq Attacks
The top U.S. official in Iraq says Wednesday's gruesome attacks on four American civilians whose burned bodies were put on display in the town of Fallujah will not go unpunished.
"It's going to be deliberate, it will be precise and it will be overwhelming," U.S. General Mark Kimmitt said, speaking to reporters in Baghdad. He warned insurgents in the town of Fallujah to be prepared for U.S. forces to strike back following Wednesday's killing of four American contractors by a frenzied mob that dragged their charred bodies through the streets.
Televised footage of the act has provoked outrage from Americans in the United States and led U.S. administrator in Baghdad Paul Bremer to issue a warning.
"Their deaths will not go unpunished," he promised.
The White House blamed the attacks on supporters of Saddam Hussein. The remains of the four were to be turned over to the U.S. military.
A day after the attack, three American soldiers were injured in another attack near Fallujah, this time when their Humvee struck a roadside bomb.

I think it's just slow.
Here is something I found in a Canadian paper:
Muslims given handbook on dealing with CSIS (Canada Intel Agency)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1124268/posts "An Islamic group is distributing a pocket guide to Canadian Muslims advising them what to do if CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service)or the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) tries to interrogate them about terrorism.
Almost 30,000 copies of the Know Your Rights guide are already in circulation across the country and demand is growing among Muslims left shaken by sensational headlines following recent anti-terrorism raids."

Is that the only user name you had? Is there another name you used back in December of 2002 until January of 2004?
I didn't know you registered under the name "JSC" earlier this year though. :)
Armed pirates take cash
25/04/2004 13:47 - (SA)
Singapore - Pirates armed with guns and knives boarded a diving support vessel off an Indonesian island and robbed crew members of cash and valuables before escaping, it was reported on Sunday.
....
The 900-kilometre Strait of Malacca is a notoriously high-risk area for pirate attacks, according to the International Maritime Bureau. Usually container ships are the targets.

I heard earlier this afternoon on Fox that the terrorists are rearming and digging in in Najaf (al Sadr's neighborhood). We have given them more time to get more people more arms etc. Now we probably can't go in without a huge loss of life on both sides mostly theirs. Also we have given Fallujah two more days of ceasefire to give up their arms and not the rusty antique ones. Meanwhile another vehicle in a military convoy was blown up today, I don't know how many casualties.
I'm not a military expert but common sense tells me this heart and mind thing isn't working with people who have only known to behave themselves out of fear for their former leader. Then there are the one's coming in from Syria and Iran who just want to kill and there is no cease fire as far as they are concerned. I think we need to show superior strength and tell them under no circumstances will they be left alive if they are carrying guns or planting explosives. Period. /rant

I've read much about the Viet Nam war. What got us in trouble there was letting the politicians determine the conduct of the war. I really hate to make comparisons, but is that what is happening here? The best way to lose a war is to not engage it. KILL THE SUCKERS!!!! I know....terribly un-P.C. of me.
So be it.

Just today I found this quote which seems appropriate to your comment!
"I believe that forgiving is God's function. Our job is simply to arrange the meeting".

Radical Muslims Gleeful Over Death of Army Ranger Pat Tillman.
"Allah is the Best of Planners."
Pat Tillman
While Americans mourned Army Ranger Pat Tillman, the 27-year-old former Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State University football player who was killed in a firefight in southeast Afghanistan, some radical Muslims expressed a different perspective.
Tillman, who turned down a $3.6 million football contract to enter the Army, was the subject of an article (
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Hizbullah-West/message/1559 ) a radical Islamic Internet bulletin board sponsored by Yahoo. The piece was headlined "Pat Tillman Killed in the Midst of His Crusade of Religious and Racial Hatred."
Describing his perception of Tillman, the writer commented he was "obviously driven by intense religious and ethnic hatred in the post-9.11 climate. He passed up a $3.6 million contract with the NFL team to be a Ranger, showing that to materialistic kuffar (non-Muslims) such as himself, some things are more important than money... namely killing thousands of Afghani civilians who were in no way connected to the attacks on 9.11.2001."
The article continued, "The U.$. mourns the loss of a new face of American heroism, a face that represents everything America loves, the 4th of July, warm apple pie, and a hometown, all-American football star, leaving behind fame and fortune to kill people of other ethnicities and a religion demonized by his government and media."
The writer of the article said that while Tillman reportedly hoped to resume his NFL career when his enlistment was up, "Obviously Allah had different plans for him. And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allah too planned, and the best of planners is Allah.' Al-Qur'an, Sura Aal `Imran 3:54."
Even though the front page of the Yahoo group strongly denies that Hezbollah is a terrorist group (
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Hizbullah-West/ ), the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) says that Hezbollah and its affiliates have planned or been linked to a lengthy series of terrorist attacks against America, Israel and other targets (
http://cfrterrorism.org/groups/hezbollah.html ).
According to CFR, "Hezbollah is a Lebanese group of Shiite militants that has evolved into a major force in Lebanon's society and politics. It opposes the West, seeks to create a Muslim fundamentalist state modeled on Iran and is a bitter foe of Israel. The group's name means party of God.'"
A question e-mailed to Yahoo officials asking whether the company's allowing a U.S. State Dept. designated terrorist organization to operate on its servers amounted to support of a terrorist organization was not immediately answered.
The Yahoo article on Tillman concludes with the address of a web site, www.taliyah.org. Visitors accessing that site see the same article about Tillman, except that on the web site (www.taliyah.org/pattillman-popup.html) they are greeted with it as a popup titled, "Allah is the Best of Planners."
The Taliyah web site is home to the so-called revolutionary messianic Shi'ite Vanguard of the Mahdi (
http://haganah.org.il/harchives/001582.html ).
Although like those individuals responsible for the Yahoo Hezbollah site the people behind www.taliyah.org write that they do not support terrorism (www.taliyah.org/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=60&mode=&order=0&thold=0), they do appear to support Osama bin Laden.
One statement reads, "We believe there is a likelihood that `Usama Bin Ladin is the prophesied Yamani' of Ahadith. We do not believe `Usama bin Ladin is a Wahhabi, as he practices Shafi'i fiqh not Hanbali. In his speeches he sends blessings upon the Family of Muhammad ... He has fulfilled the prophesied of fighting against the Sufyani and against the nations of Yajuj and Majuj."
Adherents of Taliyah also appear to support violent means in their quest for truth, writing (www.taliyah.org/index.php) that truth and unity "cannot come to pass while still locked in the chains of Babylon, we strive for justice and liberation by any means necessary. First, through an inward Jihad of self improvement, and spiritual refinement (manifesting in the moral and economic uplifting of our families, community and nation) and secondly, by waging an outward Jihad against the forces of evil that enslave this earth and make universal spiritual awakening impossible. Only though an effort of the faithful will al-Mahdi rise and only then will al-Masih return."
Site visitors are also invited to contribute (www.taliyah.org/index.php). "Please support the Taliy'ah Al-Mahdi in our efforts of spreading the Truth and paving the way for the RISE of Al-Imam Al-Qa'im ... Support the REVOLUTION and those paving the way for the Rise in the HERE AND NOW, not just the hypothetical future!"
The Taliyah web site appears to be registered to a Johan Cecat of Belgium and hosted by Hard Rocket Web Services of Clifton Park NY.
