Happy April Fools Day! And what a great day to 'toon one of America's biggest fools!!

Yup, that's John The Serial Taxer Kerry!!

Recently, Vice President Cheney hit the mark concerning rising gas prices with the exposure of Sen. John Kerry’s record and penchant for raising taxes. Cheney pointed out that Kerry voted to raise gas taxes three times and favored a 50 cent gas tax hike.

Kerry is now responding with a plan to bring down gas prices and accusing the Bush administration of achieving the goal of losing 3 million jobs and creating $3 a gallon gas prices.

The Bush campaign response is already on the way. They will air a new ad on Wednesday and that ad will feature the following line:

"Some people have wacky ideas, like taxing gasoline more so people drive less. That's John Kerry," the Bush ad will say.

Great toon, but if I might make a suggestion?

Rather than using multiple rocks along the gas line, how about making a single pile, and putting a nice bulge in the line on the pump side next to the rocks.

And it's quite likely OPEC is cutting back production to help Kerry. Probably some of those are the foreign leaders supporting Kerry.

The Kerry debate was kicked off by the Saudi daily Al-Jazeera, which published a front-page photo of the Massachusetts senator with Prince Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, the Saudi ambassador in Washington. Several other Saudi papers later ran the "friendship photo" "the history of a long and close friendship between Sen. Kerry and the Saudi kingdom."

The pan-Arab daily Asharq Alawsat, for example, claimed that Kerry's recent promise to end America's dependence on Saudi oil is merely an electoral tactic. The paper also claimed that Kerry was introduced to the Saudi ambassador by Edward Kennedy, the senior Massachusetts senator, in 1990. The two "worked hard" to organize an exhibition in Boston to introduce "Saudi culture and civilization" to Americans.

The Saudi media also cite "official documents" that testify to the "close friendship" Kerry ostensibly developed with Riyadh for more than a decade.
