Al Franken-Fraud Air America Radio Link-LIVE THREAD Day 1

A Wonketeer writes, point your browser here (link) at noon and you will be able to listen to this crap fest yourself.
Don't do it before noon or you will be subjected to more 1950's music than you can handle.
When you think about it, it totally makes sense : Air America the liberal radio network, will not be broadcasting in the DC metro area.. DC went 70 percent for Gore! They don't need convincing.
We suspect that Air America will blow. Then again, it could suck.
Or perhaps it will achieve some mysterious simultaneous combination of the two. And while we are normally unopposed to mocking things that we have no direct knowledge of, this material seems rich.
For those of you who reside in one of the five areas covered by the Air America 'empire,' please send along your thoughts and comments.

The funny part is how close it sounds to Rush's parody of the Tom Daschle doing the show. And the funnier part is that his parody was funnier and had better arguments.
To: David1
Where did that come from? So I have a weird sense of humor? I thought it was funny.

Well, I guess we really should consider that the bottom line to all this silliness is that what they are doing is our "Daily Affirmation" (pun intended!) that President Bush is doing what is RIGHT for our Nation and our way of life.
After all, if they agreed with our President's course, I would have to have serious concerns about it, myself.
Does this make sense? It does to me.
Still, it is painful for me to go through life knowing I don't have the time or resources to choke the life out of each and every one of them.... :-)
(I'm walking away....whistling innocently.....)
To: Jeeper
I know. I'm just joking around with ya. Meant no harm. ;-)

While you might not think it's funny, at least it's kind of original. Shades of SNL maybe. I hope this does succeed. Think of the material they will give talk radio and the cable shows.

OK, now that it's over; objectively speaking; Was it that bad? Are you reacting the way dems listen to Rush? I didn't hear it.

I'll give you that it is original. I just did not find it funny. Maybe it was the voice used for Coulter. Don't know. I just didn't find it funny myself. But you found it funny. Fine with me. I was just joking around with you after you disagreed with me over the humor of the bit. ;-)

Yes - it was that bad.
Who cares how they react to Rush? Sometimes the grey area between right and wrong is pretty clear. Rush is kind of a windbag, but I believe - and facts support the assertion - that Rush's points are valid.
Theirs are dead wrong. They have no basis in fact. That is the difference. They spew pissing, moaning, conjecture and socialist nonsense.
What was your question? ;-)
To: DadOfFive
I think a previous poster summed it up well.
It was like sitting next to loud liberals in a restaurant.

It was the radio equivalent of watching paint dry.
"We hate Bush"
"We sure do"
"Here's our guest Michael Moore"
"I hate Bush too"
"Hey, ALgores on the phone"
FWIW, I think Bob Kerrey was truely embarassed at times, may have realized it was a big mistake.
The bits sucked, the bump music sounded horrible, the production values were non-evident.
The EIB has set a gold standard for talk radio, this fell far short.

"objectively speaking"
It was amateur hour (3 hours). But to be fair, give it 2 months and it may develop into what Al and everyone else associated with this endeavour conceived in their shrivelled little brain pans. Oops! Maybe I'm not one to speak objectively about this.

The Majority Report This is what subliminal advertising is about -- not a half-second flash of the last 4 letters of Democrats.
They are masters of picking names that mean the exact opposite of what things are, in order to plant the thought in people's minds. This is intended to make the liberals think that they are the majority.

Maybe they're basing it on voting numbers. More people did vote for Gore. So if you include the dead, the feeble, the victims and others who allow the dems to vote for them, they may be the majority.
I'll settle for electoral votes, House and Senate majorities and all of those beautiful red counties.
