Bush did such a great job after 9/11 that thousands of my fellow Angelenos are alive today. According to that freaky hairy Mohammed they pulled out of bed (somewhere in S.E. Asia?) last year, there was a follow-up plot to do several West Coast sites soon after 9/11, but they underestimated our reaction to 9/11 and it became impossible to pull that one off.
Thank you, President Bush.

Oh yes they did get some of the questions ahead of time. Bob Kerrey, with all the serious bluster he could muster, revealed the "tough' questions he was going to ask Clinton(hint, hint, hint).
They will be prepared.

The silly media pundits still not seeing how this game unfolds..
the Bush people, after seeing the pew, gallup data, is convinced this issue is not gonna hurt that much, if at all..
on the contrary, this circus will suck all the media oxygen away from Kerry.
Nobody, I mean nobody, will hear anything from Kerry for weeks!!! The media will be focusing on the WH, Bush, Clarke, Condi, and 9/11 commission blah blah.
Think about this, Bush is running a lot of aggressive ads against Kerry and driving Kerry's negatives sky high!
If the media is too busy to cover stories outside this circus, would anyone hear the rebuttals from Kerry against those Bush ads?? Let me mind you that Kerry is low on cash now, and a few more weeks of unrelenting unanswered Bush ads will do real harm to Kerry among the swing voters. We are beginning to see that problem over the gallup poll.
The media pundits can never see this big picture as they are too much of an inside crowd to see the obvious.

...the White House press corps have no concept or clue what the Constitution says.More to the point, they don't care. To them the Constitution serves two purposes: first, as a club to beat the rest of us over the head with invented Leftist "rights" (read demands), and second as something to use in a pinch when there isn't enough toilet paper around.

How would he know, indeed! Schumer and Kennedy are two of the biggest liars in the Senate. My guess is the President is pissed off and he's going to fight now. I say go for it, Mr. President!

Rope a dope W strikes again! After investing all this time and effort into the Smear Bush with 9-11 DNC directed effort, Bush lets the Hysteric Left build and build the tension then BANG, give them what they want. After all this rumor and innuendo in the DNC "News Media" the American people watch Rice and it is a Big NOTHING. Makes DNC Press look like morons and hysteric Chicken Littles AGAIN. You would think they would learn by now but NO I guess their hysteric Bush hate overwhelms even what little cognitive abilities they haveI think you are absolutely right. However, beware the next step for the DemonRats is to try to charge Condi with purjury. Hillary wants her gone.

It wasn't just the bias.
The question itself is stupid.
It is not specific, is very general, and doesn't even explain what was took so long in his opinion.

Check out the "Parody" in the latest issue of the Weekly Standard - lampoons Clarke's personal war on terrorism - it's a gut buster - I think you can find it on their website.
Anyone who remembers anything about the Clinton years knows that Clinton was far from being the anti-terrorism hero that Clarke, Russert, and others are making him out to be.
And what is this business that they are all citing about only 35 Americans dying as a result of terrorist attacks on Bill's watch? That is so untrue.
And if they want to make the distinction of Americans vs foreign nationals killed in attacks, then they better take out all of the foreign nationals that died on 9/11. I think that significantly reduces the number attributed to W.

...UK...The English stand-in for Cavuto said today London authorities had conclusive evidence tying the Madrid bombing to those arrested in London.
He even went so far as to say the type of bomb materials were the same as those used in Oklahoma City. !!!
Wonder if THAT one will be repeated?

I don't think clinton and gore will be testifying in public. Bush and Cheney are not, either.
To: Wait4Truth
clinton and gore are going to testify It may have bode better for the two of them and the rest of the Democrat dingbats to have made this announcement the day after Clarke testified. They had to wait until after White House announced. The Democrats aren't known for their impeccable timing.

You are right.
Some astute DUers have noted it, as well.
Kerry was already defined, tried lamely to change it, then BAM!! Big stories about 9/11 and testimony.
In the meantime, Kerry is so very invisible.

and that just because Mr. Clarke wasn't invited to the meetings doesn't mean they weren't meeting. my guess is that he was invited, but didn't attend. musta been a real drag for him, having to report to a woman. a brilliant black woman at that.

Timmy Russert is now slamming this whole thing and said that the reason why the WH is doing this because of PR. That fat slob is just angry about the whole thing, because the White House waited until after Russert had Richard Clarke on for an hour on Sunday before making this announcement. This does two things: 1) if/when Clarke is exposed as a fraud, Russert will look like a damned fool; and 2) it pushes Clarke's appearance on "Meet the Press" off the front page of the news.
