British Audience Laughs at America’s 9/11 Attack

Imagine going for a night out to the theatre in Germany during the 1930s. It would have been quite normal – with not one eyebrow raised in the audience – to be watching a production which showed film footage of Jews being beaten up. This would not be shown to elicit any sympathy, but purely to work up the crowd’s bilious hatred even more.

Then a short while later in the same production the clever actors would prompt the audience to start singing songs that encouraged even more visceral hatred for the Jews. Lyrics such as “Those Jews are all dirty, fat and rich – give them a good kicking” would be heard in full chant by enthusiastic theatre-goers. They certainly knew how to have a good time back then.

You probably think that it’s good that the world has moved on and those awful days are just a memory in our history books. Because it just could not happen today, could it?

Well, you’re wrong. It’s happening right now, in Birmingham, England, at a theatre not yet near you. Get your tickets fast because they are selling like hot-cakes.

The only difference is that the victims of the audience’s hatred are not Jews, but Americans.

Now I have to admit that I haven’t myself been to see this theatre attraction because I am unwilling to spend the $30 (or whatever it may cost) to line the pockets of its writer, a Mr. Alistair Beaton.

I personally believe that you don’t need to check out internet pedophilia sites to know they are evil, and I’m taking the same view on something as grotesque as “Follow The Leader,” the title of this sick play.

As reported by The Telegraph’s Charles Spencer, on Tuesday, “Follow The Leader” has just opened, and he went to see it, though clearly he wishes he hadn’t by the end of scene one. His review is appropriately titled “The laughter died in my throat” .

Mr Spencer writes: “The satire is so crude, the anti-American bias so profound, the image of Blair as Bush’s poodle so predictable, that I felt my gorge rising with distaste”

He continues with: “And when the whole audience is invited to sing along, in panto fashion, a delightful little ditty that goes: Let’s all be anti-American/What’s so wrong with that/They’re much too loud/ and they’re far too rich/ and one in three is incredibly fat – we seem to have descended to the level of the school playground.”

I think we can take that as thumbs down from The Telegraph’s columnist.

But don’t be too surprised that most people don’t even notice anti-Americanism these days in the chattering British classes. They love their prejudices with the same haughtiness as Germans did during the anti-Semitism of the 1930s.

“What’s really creepy about this piece is that though it shows the unforgettable footage of the attacks on the World Trade Centre, it can see no justice in America’s cause, no courage in Blair’s decision to support Bush in a war that relieved the world of a vile dictator”

Can anyone believe that a British audience would sit and watch such filth and be laughing all the way through? The murder of 3000 innocent civilians, many of them British, seems to be so very funny to some.

So I hope that American Thinker readers understand why I was not willing to go and see this sicko play first-hand.

I thank Mr. Charles Spencer and the Daily Telegraph for bringing this to our attention, and for having to sit through the darkest depths of prejudice against the new Jews – Americans.

What sttupid morons. The 9/11 attack is also the worst oen in British history. The Brits lost over 300 people in that attack. More than anything the IRA or the LEftist terrorists could come up with.

Of course I can. The British pride themselves on being refined and sophisticated. In reality they lack any manners what so ever, are extremely rude (any American journalist who has ever had to deal with them will testify to that ), mean spirited, jealous, aristocratic jerks.

Frankly, I'm tired of these people with all their ridiculous lords and princesses and dukes. Read "The Royals" by Kitty Kelly and you'll see just how nasty these people are. For example: "prince" Philip was on tour in America with Elizabeth 2 (queen of some island that thinks it's the center of the world). The secret service agent tried politely to explain to him that he was not allowed to move the car that they were in because the president's car had not moved yet. Philip became increasingly impatient. Philip then shouted at him: "move this f****** car now!" rolled up a newspaper and knocked him on the back of the head with it (hard); all the time the queen said nothing. She later sent someone to apologize to the agent in her husband's place.

I simply fail to see how these apes are better than us. I hate the British almost as much as I hate the French.

Thanks for reminding us all with the photos. My cousin Mike Lynch died on 9-11 trying to save people trapped in an elevator. Here is the story:

The doors parted, but the elevator had become stuck just as the bottom of the cab was reaching the lobby of the south tower. Only the feet of the trapped passengers were visible as the burning jet fuel that had cascaded down the shaft ahead of them threatened to broil them alive.

"These people were getting cooked," recalls Firefighter Tim Brown. "They were screaming. They were dying."
Brown was assigned to the Mayor's Office of Emergency Management, and his official role at the World Trade Center that horrific September morning was to help coordinate the overall rescue effort. He momentarily cast those duties aside and grabbed a fire extinguisher, only to discover it was empty.

Brown tried another extinguisher, but it also was empty. An arm stuck out of the smoky gap between the bottom of the stalled cab and the top of the doorway, flailing as if attempting to pull the elevator down.

"It was hell for them, and I was watching it," Brown recalls.
Brown turned to his right to get help and discovered it already had arrived in the form of Firefighter Michael Lynch of Ladder 4.

"He slapped me on the shoulder and said, 'Timmy, don't worry about it, we'll take care of it,'" Brown recalls.
Brown knew Lynch to be smart and brave, one of the department's future stars.

"I just had this whole wave of relief," Brown says. "I knew things were going to be okay. He was just one of those guys. I said, 'All right, Mike, you got it.'"

Lynch set to work with seven equally brave and dedicated members of Ladder 4: Capt. David Wooley, Lt. Daniel O'Callaghan and Firefighters Joe Angelini Jr., Michael Brennan, Samuel Oitice, Michael Haub and John Tipping.

Brown returned to his duties, which soon sent him in search of an Emergency Medical Service supervisor. He was coming out of the tower onto Liberty St. when he looked to his left to see Ladder 4's rig parked on the sidewalk, just outside the lobby fire command station.

Debris was still cascading from above, and Firefighter Danny Suhr of Engine 216 had been killed by a jumper moments before, but there was Michael Lynch, reaching into the upper compartment on the rig for a Hurst tool, the Jaws of Life used to pry open doors. The motor end is heavy, and a young firefighter dashed out to help.

"I yelled, 'Mike, you guys got it?'" Brown says.
The reply was calm and confident as the most mortal danger rained all around.
"Yeah, we got it."

Lynch headed back into the lobby where the rest of Ladder 4 was extinguishing the fire under the elevator. The Hurst tool would be able to widen the gap between the cab floor and the doorway so the firefighters could pull everyone to safety.

Brown found an EMS team under the south pedestrian bridge and was starting back to the lobby when the south tower collapsed. He dove into the adjacent hotel and survived.

Bodies found together

Ladder 4's firefighters were still in the lobby. Their bodies were found six months later, clustered together, as you would expect a disciplined company to be in a high-rise fire. The Hurst tool lay among them, along with the remains of a civilian woman. That would suggest Ladder 4 was in the midst of rescuing her.

Their crumpled rig had been found in December, having plunged five levels below the street.

A. I read it from an anthology of photos and articles about 9/11. One of the articles list the casualties from various countries. If I got it right, the Brits lost approximately 350 of their own.

Follow My Leader will take a very hard look at the relationship between the UK and the US. It is a satirical play that will raise many questions for the audience in a hard-hitting, stimulating and, hopefully, entertaining fashion.

All you need to ask your self is this: what sort of audience will this sort of play attract? The everyday British man and woman in the street or a self-selecting band of Liberal 'intelligensia' who already have a beef about the USA and see this play as an opportunity to indulge such feelings?

I'd say it was the latter and in essence they're no worse than the Liberals in your own fair country who'd also revel in the excuse to bash your foreign policy when they can, even going as far as to say that America 'had it coming' as far as 9/11 goes.
