The difference in this interview is that it is a hit piece on this woman and on this administration and that the Clarke interview was a highly plugged lovefest. I've watched my last CBS program, ever. And I intend to call them tomorrow and tell them so.

CBS didn't do themselves any favors with their "60 minutes" hit piece and the follow-up drive-by cross burning segment, both where outlandish rubbish straight out of yellow journalism!

Remember this is a CBS EDITED interview, they no doubt chose those snippets that best served their agenda.
I'm certain that anything that would have made Bradley look stupid is laying on the cutting room floor.

the Republicans keep thinking that they are going to get fair coverage from the media, so they walk right into these things and get blasted, and then complain about it afterwards. why wasn't the issue about editing of the segment discussed before it was held? Did Rove really think that 60 minutes wouldn't do this? This happens over and over and over again. It is as if they do not understand what forces are aligned against them. I thought that we were over screw ups after that disastrous Bush interview with Russert. They need to get a handle on how they are being presented by the media. The media is completely out for blood and organized to a point that one would not think possible.
Mark my word, they have more up their sleeve. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

It's not about "facts"; it's about "feelings". This was an extremely hostile interview. CBS has no idea what the grave consequences would be if we cut and run from the WOT, as they would like happen.

They had to move on to the next victim, Judge Pickering. I swear, Christians stood a better chance against the lions than conservatives do against the media.

If Condi made an effective Iraq/AQ defense/link and CBS cut it, she needs to have a maojor press conference tomorrow.
I doubt that's what happened. I think the administration just has a tin ear for this particularly conversation and doesn't understand what the American people need to/want to hear.

Time for Karen Hughes to be back in charge. Hear, hear!
To: Rummyfan
Did I hear Wallace correctly? Did he call Pickering a "bumpkin" in his intro of the segment?
(I DID notice that his intro made it appear as if this is the first "payback" time the Dims have tried to block a judicial nomination. These people have no shame!)

while I share your sentiment. CBS isn't worried, they have plenty of viewers and advertisers.
To: alnick
Its a joke they call these leftist "journalist". The show needs to be renamed "The Liberal View in 60 minutes". This show is a bunch of phonies pretending to be objective reporters. What a bunch of jerks!

What's CBS' phone number? Don't bother with phone calls. Write a letter to:

Is anybody compiling a list of sponsors to tonights show? If so, please post. I didn't even think to write any down and that is the best way to go, not through See Bull Shi*, but through those that give them support and safe haven.

Rummy,
makes me crazy too.
The Whitehouse should lay down the following rules:
All interviews will be live, no exceptions.
All interviews will be on Whitehouse Grounds with Minimum Crews Brought In.
All Interviews will be 1 Hour in Duration with a minimum of commercials.
And if you don't like it, no access, period.
I am furious at C "BS", they probably interviewed her for 2 hours and cut it to fit there needs, it is sickening.
To: mystery-ak
"This is exactly what the 911 commission wants to do to her..."
Along with subjecting her to the boos and hisses of the 'select 9/11 families'.

It's also possible that some of what we'd say aren't supported by evidence. Don't assume that Condi is unaware of various things we'd say.

For GOD sakes!! This is an outrage!! CBS is a friggin joke. You could see the contempt for the administration on Bradley's face. This is equal time? They gave her one segment and then abrubtly cut the interview short?
