What's your favorite flag of the world? Least favorite?

Some time ago, browsing through my friend's atlas, I realised that there are significant differences in quality between the flags of different countries. Some are good, some are bad. Some countries have clearly taken care in the choice of colours, layout, and design. Others have been lazy, stolen the flags of their neighbours, or just designed flags that are clearly supposed to cause pain to those who look at them.
To my surprise, there is no international body responsible for upholding simple standards of vexillilic aesthetics. Nor do the UN or Interpol have the power to call in and punish those responsible for such atrocities as the Brazilian or Cypriot flags. I suppose there is probably a conspiracy of rich western nations (those with permanent seats on the UN security council, no doubt) to prevent such crimes from being brought to justice; however, in the meantime I am giving letter grades to the existing flags of the world.

My favorite flag is the Union Jack - awesome flag, the greatest ever.
Second fave is Old Glory, of course. Elegant and mighty!
My third fave is the early colonial's flag with the snake on it, 'Don't Tread on Me.' Simple, but it says it.
#4 is the early version of Old Glory, with the 13 stars in a circle. Oldschool and classic!
I never gave my least favorite flag much though. I have no opinion on the matter, really. Sorry.

Oooops, I forgot one. The Jolly Roger, the pirate flag, has to get an honorable mention.

The most abominable has to be the saudi rag, not even worthy enough to use as the door mat on a dunny.
Can't even be bothered to search for a .jpg of the POS to post.

Come on, folks! How can this not be one of the best? It's got a "kick butt" message, a great Latin phrase, and partial frontal female nudity. What more can you ask for in a flag?

No, amigo.
I posted the flag, because it was mentioned in the article.

Old Glory is my favorite, beautiful beyond compare.
The ugliest flag on earth is that UN thing.

I have a fondness for flags with interesting seals, which you don't really find on world flags, but the US State flags have quite a few.
Katherine Harris herself explained the symbolism of the Florida flag and seal to me and my boys.
To: I still care
I like the symbolism in them.
On a white field emblazoned with a red X and the state seal, Florida's flag represents the land of sunshine, flowers, palm trees, rivers and lakes.
The seal features a brilliant sun, a cabbage palmetto tree, a steamboat sailing and a Native American Seminole woman scattering flowers

The worst flag of all is Canada's maple leaf.
Canada came up with that flag specifically because it wasn't offensive to anyone. Enough said -- as a result, you end up with a flag that looks like a leaf-pressing art project from first grade.
