PRO-BUSH WAR PROTESTER EXPOSES ANTI-WAR PEACENIKS
DAVE SOMMERS , Staff Writer 03/28/2004
When it comes to defending what he sees as President Bushs correct stance in fighting the war on terror, Raoul Deming is about as proactive as one could be.
In fact, he has attended nearly every rally on the East Coast in the past year, whether pro or con, and says hes always ready to confront those who speak out against the president or scoff at any displays of patriotism.
Just last weekend, Deming attended an anti-war rally in Fayetteville, N.C., where he argued with protesters and then presented his own opposing view to newspaper and television reporters.

According to the article you have now reached "cult" hero status.
I would like to correct that. It should read AMERICAN HERO!!!

Too bad they don't have their editorials online. Concur. If they were online, they'd be discussed here three or four times a week.

(How can they call it a "Peace March" when they unconditionally support those who kill our soldiers?)

Thanks for the kind words. There are a lot of people who also do these kinds of things. This article is because of what they like to remind you of in real estate, location, location, location. Mainly because of the Fieldsboro and Evergreen protests, I came to the attention of the Trentonian. The Trentonian did a much better of job describing the Dover AFB situation than the Delaware reporters that were there.
At Dover AFB, it was Medea Benjamin that dragged the mom by the arm across six lanes of highway. One of the organizers, Charley Richardson had threatened to do just that and Medea made good on his threat. She wasn't in a grieving mood, she was combative. She screamed and pushed a finger into my chest. My answer to one of her questions was to layout Medea's history, i.e., lived in Cuba, worked for Castro's newspaper and the author of a book, "Cuba - Talking About Revolution." Medea tried to cover her tracks with, "That's not what we're here about..." To which I replied, "Well yes it it, what is it Medea? Are you a peace protester or a revolutionary?" She then disappeared.
Just prior to that, I gave out the ANSWER website's URL and told people where to find ANSWER's "pledge of unconditional support" for "Iraq's anti-colonial resistance." Not that neither made the Delaware media story. Also, the sequence of the final exchange as reported by the Delaware "reporter" is in reverse order. Sue Niederer made her comment that she was going back over with the "good people" and as she stalked away, I told her that what she was doing could lead to other mother's sons getting killed. But the Delaware reporter changed the order to make it more sympathetic to the anti-war side.
While ANSWER was not on the masthead of the Dover protest, Charley Richardson and Nancy Lessin work closely with ANSWER, in fact, Charley and Nancy were in the prime slot for ANSWER's October 25th "anti-war" march in DC. They were in the head of the march. Charley even bad mouthed ANSWER when we initially spoke. He tried to pass huimself off as "just" a labor organizer from Boston.
Also, CodePink wasn't on the protest masthead, but they wer there in force, doing media liason, their own profesional video rig, and most importantly, being Niederer's handler.
Today, Medea Benjamin and CodePink parade Sue Niederer around like a prize poney, using her for all the publicity they can get against the war. Nineteen years ago, it was a different organization and the same crowd was getting doctors for the rebel leader who slaughtered four UNARMED US Marines sitting in a cafe in civilian clothes. The rebels slaughtered not only those four UNARMED Marines, but two US businessmen from WANG the computer company and nine local citizens.
Look to the media archives and find that the spokesman for "Medical Aid To El Savador" in 1985 is Sandra Brim, the same Sandra Brim that is spokesperson for CodePink.
How will Sue Niederer explain her running with that crowd to the four mothers of those US Marines? To her son?
For March 20th, they had Niederer using her ex-husband's name so it would match her son's name. I'm sure that that change was "suggested" by CodePink or MFSO because both organizations are media savy. In fact, it was the Institute For Public Accuracy (IPA) who did the mass media press releases that got MFSO it's push into media consciousness. The same IPA that PAID FOR and directed Sean Penn's first trip to Iraq and then made the arrangements for Penn's second trip.
The Delaware reporter also neglected that a Delaware State Trooper had to come over to get them to stop putting their hands on me and to backoff to a civilized distance. But it wouldn't be a puff piece for the anti-war marcher if it were known that the peace protesters tend NOT to be peaceful.

the peace protesters tend NOT to be peaceful. As you said in Fayetteville, "as an adult, the only people who've hit me or threatened me with violence have been peace protestors."

I've noticed that other than National Review and Horowitz's Frontpagemag that publish articles giving background information on these anti-war groups, their leadership, their funding and their larger umbrella groups, etc. the US media gives NO BACKGROUND AT ALL.Oh never! The media and their comrades the democrat's don't want the voters to know that ANSWER is a front group for the communist party along with many other Marxist orgs and anarchists galore.
They love to pretend they are just ordinary Americans who are "concerned" about the direction this country has taken .
There was very little concern when democrats were saying Saddam was evil personified and bombing Iraq themselves!

Doctor Raoul's Megaphone
The protesters grumble and snivel and moan
When they see Raoul there with his old megaphone
And their faces turn scarlet in hot indignation
That their lies will be countered -- with amplification
The lovers of Castro, Chavez and Ortega
Arriving by Volvo (and Pinto and Vega)
Unpacking their trunks and their backseats of signage
Recyling decades of self-absorbed whinage
Their kids (named for Stalin, and Lenin, and Mao)
Dragged out on display like a 4-H prize cow
Roll their eyes in frustration; abetting Mom's treason
Can take a real bite out of your baseball season
Can you tell the professors from the homeless? (The bums?)
It's true they're all bipeds with opposable thumbs
That show for each protest; they're hell for dependable
Unlike the employed, who are far less expendable
The usual riff-raff, the usual losers
The welfare contingent and dopers and boozers
The same cast, regardless, whatever is griping them
And the same hack reporters reliably hyping them
And every last wretch from the leftover left
Finds himself forlorn and betrayed and bereft
By the God he denies and the Fates he deems cruel --
He'll just have to listen to Doctor Raoul.

Here's the new URL of the story ---
War protester takes proactive stance I've noticed that often after one day, online newspapers move an article to a new URL. Sometimes they make slight corrections to a story and then delete the old URL and post the revised version at a new URL. But whatever. Since we had the title and the author given at the top of this FR posting, I just plugged it into their Search page.
