My father, known on here as RANGERAIRBORNE, passed away this morning at 4am alaska time.

I don't really know where to post this, so I am putting it here.

His will be some mighty big boots to fill, and I hope you'll stick around here and carry on for him, as he thought enough of this community to be a part of it, and must have thought it worthwhile. I'd like to see that which he was a part of here continue.

God Bless you and your father. I always feel my heart sink when I see the occasional similar posts but it's important because you not only lost your father but we lost an important and honorable Freeper.

I like to think that I and all of my fellow Freepers are all a part of one big freedom-loving cyber family. Sure we bicker sometimes but deep down I think if we all could hang out together (Freeper Convention anyone - I welcome all here to NH) the mutual affection would grow ten-fold.

Free Republic was blessed to have someone like RANGERAIRBOURNE posting here. I enjoyed reading many of his posts. This site is great because of posters like him. He will be on the memorial wall for sure. Of that I have no doubt. Prayers for you and the family.
