Why does Kerrey insist that Condi be questioned in public? Are her responses going to be any different than they were in private? This thing is NOT an effort to get answers to the problem of terrorism.
You would think Dick Clarke did all the "research" for this commission and they didn't trouble themselves with looking at real data.

Clarke, who was a primary source for Miniter's book, detailed a meeting of top Clinton officials in the wake of al Qaeda's attack on the USS Cole in Yemen.
Even Dick Morris's book, Off With Their Heads, which came out last year, contradicts alot of what Clarke apparently has stated in his book.
It would be interesting to see a pay-per-view with Clarke being 'interviewed' by Dick Morris on one side and Mansoor Ijaz on the other. Mansoor was fuming Monday about Clarke's allegations.

I don't know. No one in Washington will ever use that term in public for anyone. It's like they are afraid to say it.

"Democrats are in full attack mode."
They took a bit of a licking yesterday. Here is that damn book again.

He should have been replaced in early 2001.

Disruption of a firing and a 2-year learning curve for the new guy would be destructive to our war efforts.Exactly. This is one of the reasons why I think Tenet is the man for the job, because he was up to speed on the job afforded him when GWB came into office.

I am just saying that we differentiate between him and Roehmer, Ben-Veniste, and Gorelick. I think he is in a different class. OK .. yes I can agree there .. I wouldn't put Kerrey in the same category of Roehmer, Ben-Veniste, and Gorelick
But I still don't trust him

I hope you are right about a barrage on Clarke and I look forward to seeing if you are correct. So far Clarke has been given two alerts as to questions he will be asked.

Oh good, someone is removed from the audience. Personally, I would like ALL of the audience removed.

Some sort of disrupter in the room. Said it was a man, although it's probably Medea Benjamin.
