Senator Saxby Chambliss was on Fox & friends this morning questioning why Richard Clarke-Kent's testimony before the Intelligence committee differed so much from his book.
The 911 Panel member Lehman also brought it up during his questioning of Clarke-Kent's credibility.

Who was the committee moron waving around a copy of Clarke's book this morning? And was anyone seen waving a copy of Richard Miniter's?

It seems that way to me :-)
When asked if he read Clarke's book Armitage said:
"I'm the only honest person in this room--I gave it the 'Washington read'." Went on to explain that means you scan the index for your own name and only read the pages on you.
To: Carolinamom
LOL - Armitage says he's the only honest person in Washington when asked if he'd read Clarke's book.
Said he looked at the index to see if he was included, and if so, what was said about him.

Clarke's credibility was absolutely shredded today. They had to take a break just to shovel Clarke's crumbled pile of credibility out the door.

To: LisaFab
Well, I read (the cover-to-cover variety read) Miniter's book, which mentions Clarke quite a bit. Clarke's got some more 'splainin' to do...
To: prairiebreeze
He is right...he is very honest and says what he thinks.
To: cyncooper
Clarke's credibility was absolutely shredded today. We all know that, but the majority of Americans weren't watching or following this closely. They will get a recap on the local newscast tonight. This is a sample of headlines that are hitting now:

He had to listen to the whining about why is Conddi not here.
He is giving some good answers.

Oh yea, how about you yourself get a dose of reality.
have you seen the daily tracking poll from rasmussen? If this forum is reporting on good news on one side then no one would ever see the obvious disaster unfolding.
To: mewzilla
Well, evidently he's not going to explain anything.
Looks like he's getting away with it.
