No the sky is not falling..failing to see the obvious disaster is what sickens me. Again, if Bush loses this fall because he got slimed by the other side and not defending himself, he has nobody to blame. Wrapping condi in the closet is the most serious mistake. Why would anyone think Condi would run as VP or Prez one day anyway, for the way she handles this firestorm, the political deaf tone on this issue, one gotta question. I bet I am not the only one seeing the problem here, just wait for the comments from the R-senators or R-congressmen running around screaming where is condi, where is condi.

"I never heard of this Governor Thompson before, but he's doing a fine job."
He is a bit of a RINO, but I must say I am glad he is on top of this today.

Clarke: "Clinton authorized military force to kill Bin Laden." Oh REALLY? Didn't Clinton sign an EXEC-order NOT to kill any foreign leaders, and Bush rescinded it?
Even if stmt #1 is true (not likely), this is just how these weasels operate.
The poor grunt who actually has his finger on the trigger knows he has a 50/50 chance of being prosecuted in the Hague for war crimes if he pulls it.
So, it gets passed up and up the line to the 'toon, who is conveniently indisposed.
Now everyone gets to say "We tried, We tried". And the 'toon doesn't have to face the disapproval of Kofi for offin' Kofi's golfing buddy.

Who knows, if the Democrats on this panel can finally get Condi to testify, they might have made the biggest strategerial blunder in history. She could very well come out with all guns blazing, leaving bodies scattered at the table.

Isn't "background" in support of a philosophy or program? As such, it was owned by the WH and it was their permission that allowed it to become public knowledge. "Off the Record" is the gentleman's (woman's) confidential information?

Is anyone here listening to Armitage? If so, please post...I'm watching Cavuto and Levine, who is livid that there is a commisson during wartime.

"I disagree here people. Fox news is our beacon of info. This hurts them. You do not reveal background sources, even if they are lying. You are 100% wrong.
You are confusing a background briefing with a confidential source. Two different animals. One speaks as an anonymous source within an organization with the approval of that organization. The other is a "deep-throat" type source who is speaking without approval. It's the organization's call if they choose to release the name of the person doing the background briefing. It's between the reporter and the confidential informant on the release of their name.
